A Strictly Ballroom Affair is the tenth episode in the fifteenth season of The Real Housewives of New York City.
Official Synopsis[]
On Bravotv.com: "The ladies celebrate Racquel and Mel’s engagement at their ballroom-themed party. Jenna holds a stoop sale to sell iconic clothing she’s acquired throughout her illustrious career. Brynn meets with a ghostwriter. As Erin works on her friendship with Racquel, she finds herself at odds with Ubah."[1]
Summary[]
Sai in croches
Sai is in crotches because she was injured by glass while cleaning out her makeup and skincare sample closet. She kicked a bag full of expired samples back into the elevator as it was falling over and the glass inside protruded into her foot.
The line loops around the block for Jenna's "stoop sale". Half of proceeds go to Planned Parenthood. It's "emotional and hard" for Jenna to get rid of her closet, but she's excited to make room for her partner Cass to move in. Jenna declines to share the amount of profit earned.

Racquel and Erin have lunch to air out their grievances. Erin reiterates her side of story regarding whether Brynn's in on the pregnancy prank or not. Racquel hears both sides and is familiar with Brynn's embellishment. They move forward. Erin's surprised that Sai and Ubah are taking Brynn's side over hers. They talk about Racquel's upcoming Ballroom themed Engagement Party with her fiance Mel. Erin doesn't know what Ballroom culture is, and confused Grace Jones with Grace Kelly when Racuqel mentions she's dressing up as Grace.
Racquel and Mels engagement party commences, Racquel's mother cannot make it, but Racquel's aunt Diana and cousin Michael show up and support. Racquel and Mel don't have a date set yet, according to Chris Rock at the Chanel Met Gala Racquel is an "international heartbreaker". Erin and Abe show up as each other in drag. Sai cannot make the party due to her foot injury.

Brynn thinks Abe in drag looks like Mrs. Doubtfire. Erin as Abe flirts with Brynn. Jessel and Jenna kiss, in front of Jessel's husband Pavit. Erin thinks Ubah is "gunning" for her, Jenna has talked to Ubah on the phone and feels the same sentiment from Ubah. The ladies spectate the ballroom portion of the party with Ubah, Erin, and Pavit participating. Jenna tells Ubah Erin thinks she's "coming after her". Ubah refutes and is shocked, as they talk all the time. Ubah is baffled because Erin knows she's going through hard times right now with fibroids. Racquel hands the speech to Mel as she's shy at public speaking. Mel is excited to start her new life with Racquel and her kids Elle and Corey. Racquel is overjoyed as well.
Brynn and her ghost writer, Brynn realizes her dog Sugar is sneaking snacks off of the table
Brynn's ghost writer Hanna visits her, Brynn has a book deal with Simon & Schuster, it's a "self help memoir". They talk about Brynn's breakup with Gideon. Brynn had her "eat pray love" experience in 2017 when she was heart broken. Their engagement had gone as far as sending out invites and having bridesmaids before they broke it off. They talk about the sexual assault Brynn went through, it had "robbed" Brynn's ability to potentially get married or have children, more importantly her last year with her grandmother as she was going through her own trauma. Brynn is in a better place now, but she's having difficulty dating as she will have to open up about her experience with her new partners. However, Brynn wants to have a family and children, so she's in a "time crunch" to learn to trust again.

Racquel and Ubah visit Sai and check in with her foot. The laceration is mostly healed, but she's waiting on an MRI to confirm whether the injury site is near an artery. They talk about Racquel's mother's absence at her engagement party, Sai proposes to make a trip out of it with ladies to accompany Racquel to see her mother. Sai's family is from Puerto Rico but they are more New York-Ricans. Ubah tells the ladies Jenna and Brynn told her that Erin is coming for her. Ubah's confused about Erin's motivation, and she's hurt about the narrative that Erin's implying Ubah had done something to her. Ubah's not going to talk to Erin because she thinks Erin's going to "twist it". Sai agrees with Ubah.

Brynn and Erin volunteer at Citymeals on Wheels, which provides meals to at risk seniors. Brynn states Ubah thinks Erin is "spoiled". Ubah had sent Erin a long text (see transcript below) that called Erin "pathetic". Erin brings up Ubah calling her a "gaslighter" at the picnic. Erin thinks Ubah should have talked things through with her instead of calling her names. Erin wants to confront Ubah, but she's scared Ubah is going to make a big deal out of it and their friendship ends in a horrible place. Brynn agrees with Erin, she has to "tiptoe" around Ubah.

- Ubah: Hey Erin, I've been thinking about some things I heard last night, and it's surprising to hear certain narratives being spread without a direct conversation first. I'm curious about why you've chosen to tell others that I might "come for you." It's disappointing and unexpected that you didn't discuss this with me directly first. Now, it makes sense why you called before Racquel's party - it felt like a preparation for something like this. It's disconcerting to think this might be about seeking more attention for the show rather than building a genuine connection. I find this behavior pathetic Erin, I don't want to deal with your manipulative actions anymore, and I refuse to put in the effort to figure out if we're friends or not because we clearly aren't. You bring too much drama, and that's not the kind of energy I want in my life.
