Coming Clean is the ninth episode in the fifteenth season of The Real Housewives of New York City.

On Bravotv.com: "At Ubah’s pigeon picnic, Erin finds herself in hot water with the ladies, leading Racquel to question their friendship. Ubah sees a fertility specialist to discuss options about starting a family. Erin opens up to Jenna about a secret from her past."[1]

Erin, Racquel, Jessel, and Rebecca arrive at Ubah's picnic. Racquel confirms with the ladies about her Ballroom themed engagement party, she requests the ladies to walk in it. Jessel is not familiar with Pose or Paris is Burning. Jenna is sad about her son Beckett spending the last summer with her before leaving for college. Ubah's doctor told her she needs fibroid surgery, she's getting additional opinions due to the risk associated with her fertility.

Brynn starts a game of the ladies stating rumors they have heard, and whoever the rumor is about gets to speak their peace. Brynn heard Jessel "tricked Pavit" into marrying her, which Jessel confirms. Jessel explains it as her work Visa was running out so she and Pavit got legally married a year before they actually wed. Jenna and Brynn ask Rebecca about Scientology. Racquel and Rebecca state it's not a rumor, Jessel just wants to know if she sees Tom Cruise. Erin clarifies the ladies are questioning the duality of Judaism and Scientology. Rebecca reiterates Judaism is a religion and Scientology is a "life philosophy". Rebecca states she's an "open book" in her confession while offering no explanations. Brynn asks Rebecca about the documentary, all the ladies are acquiesce and wouldn't touch the subject with a 10 foot poll during Rebecca's explanation.

Erin points out the rumor of Sai breaking up her husband David's previous marriage. Brynn clarifies the exact details of Sai getting a job at a bar owned by David. The two had an affair, Sai got pregnant and David left his ex-wife for her. Sai states she met David 6 years after his divorce. Racquel confronts Erin about not telling her that Brynn was also part of the pregnancy rumor prank. Erin contradicts Brynn's statement of letting her in on the prank when they had drinks, they argue. Racquel tells Rebecca that the person she shouldn't trust is Erin, Erin and Racquel argue. Erin and Brynn argue over Brynn calling Erin out on her bluff and whether Brynn's in on the prank. Erin feels "target(ed)" by Racquel, they argue with Brynn joining in. Erin tells everyone to "shut up" and listen to her reasoning. The ladies think Erin "fumble" the prank, and Erin is focusing on semantics of "in on the prank". Erin half apologizes to Brynn that "makes her feel you (she) can't be trusted". Erin and Rebecca attempt to walk back on the leaky pigeon "test" they conducted to the ladies' dismay.

Erin and Jenna have brunch, their friendship is mostly repaired since Jessel's Clueless Birthday Party. Erin tells Jenna her father is also going through health issues. Erin is good friends with the editor in chief of Glamour magazine Samantha Barry. And she approached Erin due to the current abortion climate, Erin confided with Sam about her past experiences. Erin was 19 and in college, Jenna went through the same thing when she was 21, and they both went to Planned Parenthood. Jenna had only told her friends but not her family, she shares with Erin to comfort her. Erin's dad doesn't know, and she's unsure how he'll react. Now she has to before the article comes out. They lament over the overturn of Roe v Wade (see trivia).

Jenna's and her personal chef Rob teach her son Beckett how to make mushroom risotto as a college meal before he leaves. Beckett is going to a summer program at Stanford. Jenna is conflicted on Beckett's departure, she doesn't want him to go but knows all kids do so when they grow up.
Ubah meets with Dr. Hancock, fertility specialist to discuss her options. Ubah wants to conceive naturally, despite being 40 as her mother had her when she was 44. Ubah also has fibroids that is pushing into her uterus cavity. Depends on the position of fibroids, the recovery time post surgery can be up to 6 months. Medications have contraceptive properties so surgery seems to be Ubah's only option. Ubah's boyfriend Oliver is supportive.

Erin meets Samantha Barry, Editor in Chief of Glamour Magazine for an interview to talk about her abortion experience. Erin is emotional and recalls being terrified of finding out her pregnancy 3 weeks after moving into her college dorm room. Erin blames herself, but was supported by the Planned Parenthood doctor. Erin told her mother Dorothy a year after, who offers her support by confessing that she underwent the same procedure. Erin's father does not know, she is nervous to tell him.
Jenna and Racquel meet at artist Jessica Dickinson's gallery. Jenna reveals she has been given a "hall pass" for Racquel. Neither of them have spoken to Erin or Rebecca since the picnic. Jenna doesn't see "malice" in the prank. Racquel is surprised by Erin's reaction toward her at the picnic, she wants to mend their relationship as their partners get along well. They have not spoken to Brynn either, Racquel can see Erin's side as well due to Brynn's embellishment reputation.
Sai visiting Ubah
Sai visits Ubah with lunch, they talk about the picnic. Erin had called Ubah earlier in the day and accused Ubah of "singling (me) her out", because Ubah "had fun" with Jenna. They think Jenna has finally "experienced" what Erin has done to all of them. They don't understand why Erin is targeting Racquel, Sai will never tell Erin "a secret, never again".
Erin and her father Eli have bagels. Erin thinks he looks better health wise, Erin states the investors for Mezcalum are increasing their investments. Erin tells Eli about her abortion, Eli "support you (her) proudly". Erin is surprised but relieved and emotional. Eli reveals that he had gone through the same thing with a woman as well. Unfortunately Eli passed away 4 months after filming.
