Exes and OCs is the first episode of the eighteenth season and the three-hundredth-and-ninth episode ever produced of The Real Housewives of Orange County. It premiered on July 11, 2024, to an audience of 0.65 million live viewers.

On Bravotv.com: "After a difficult year, Shannon is doing her best to move forward as she faces the consequences from her DUI. Emily deals with a new gym obsession. Tamra finds herself down dos amigas. Relationships are put to the test as both Gina and Jenn explore new living arrangements with their partners. Heather’s “New Year, New Me” party brings tensions to a head when Alexis joins the ladies and revels in her new relationship with Shannon’s ex-boyfriend, John Janssen."[1]
Summary[]
10 days after the Season 17 reunion, Shannon got charged with a DUI after crashing her car into a residence. Archie was also in the car at the time but was not injured.
Jenn, Tamra, and Emily meet up at the gym. Jenn and Tamra have moved on from their drama last season. Emily has lost over 40lb in her fitness journey and is visiting the gym on a daily basis. The ladies talk about Shannon, Jenn is positive about the progress Shannon is making. Tamra talks about a live show she did with Shannon soon after the DUI, where she sees Shannon drinking, and expresses her frustration.
Shannon, now an empty nester, has a heart felt conversation with her three visiting daughters and Archie regarding her DUI and drinking problem. Shannon also discusses her ex relationship with John Janssen, who started dating former housewife, Alexis Bellino, whose ex husband, Jim Bellino sued Shannon and Tamra for defamation. According to Tamra, she lost $500,000 and Shannon lost $300,000 in the process of the lawsuit.
Heather has moved into her new house in Beverly Hills after selling their house in Orange County, Terry and her meet with contractors to work on the house. Heather plans on hosting a New Year, New Me party for the ladies at the Bay Club.
Gina goes over to Emily's, Emily is having renovations at her place. Gina is a fledgling realtor, she is listing Elizabeth Vargas's home had heard that Elizabeth's brother, Andrew saw Shannon at the supermarket with a cart full of alcohol. Gina pointed out that Shannon brought up her DUI multiple times throughout the years as the ladies discuss about Shannon. They then move on to the topic of Gina's relationship, where Travis, Gina's boyfriend has an ex that apparently makes Travis's life difficult, therefore making Gina's current relationship difficult as well. With the kids growing up and needing more room in the house, Gina thinks some time apart will do them good.
Jenn and Ryan talks about her eviction at dinner. Jenn is over $20,000 overdue in rent, as her ex-huband Will, is out of work and is unable to pay for the rent. Ryan proposes for Jenn and her kids to move in with him while Jenn expresses doubt and Ryan offers reassurance.
Heather, Emily, and Alexis meet for drinks. Alexis met John, Shannon's ex at The Quiet Woman and they started dating. Alexis confronted Emily about her calling John a "doucher" on Tamra's podcast. Emily stated she has known John for 3 years through Shannon and Alexis had only been with John for a few months. The ladies discuss strategy of Alexis and Shannon meeting at Heather's new year party.
Shannon meets with her attorney regarding her DUI, the court ordered 9 month alcohol school, 40 hour community service, and 3 year probation. Shannon wants to be held accountable and pay her dues.
Tamra and her daughter Sophia go get tattoos. Sophia got a moon and Tamra got the number "111" on her wrist. Sophia had just turned 18 therefore can be on camera without Tamra's ex-husband, Simon's permission.
Gina and Travis have the difficult conversation of Travis moving out for space.
The ladies are getting ready for Heather's new year party. Tamra told Eddie that Alexis and her made up at Bravo Con. Gina brings along her friend Katie, Katie is new to the area and her friend, Sutton Stracke, recommended Gina as a realtor.
As the ladies arrive at Heather's new year party, tension grows between Gina and Jenn. As Gina is the realtor for Jenn of the house that she is getting evicted from, Gina is worried that it might damage her fresh career. Anticipation grows as Shannon is the last one to arrive, Shannon is worried about everyone's opinion on her regarding the DUI. Shannon apologizes to Gina and they reconcile after last season's drama. Shannon pulls Alexis aside to address the elephant in the room, all the ladies gather to witness the showdown. Shannon brings up the lawsuit and Alexis's involvement, as it began with Alexis sending her a cease and desist letter. Alexis demands the letter and stated Shannon's mad at her because she's dating her ex-boyfriend. Argument ensues and Alexis storms off.
