Huger made up one of the original six main cast members in the first season of The Real Housewives of Potomac. She has continued to star as a 'Housewife' ever since - having now done so for nine seasons.
Huger also received a spin-off series, titled: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion, which aired in 2022. This one-off season followed Karen planning her family’s first ever reunion at the family farm in Virginia.

Karen and Gizelle have called a truce and for the time being are closer than ever, but Karen resents Mia for spreading rumors and Robyn for not being upfront with the group.

The season begins with a dramatic reenactment of Karen's DUI on March 19, 2024. Gizelle calls Ashley on the way to picking up Karen for breakfast in A Crash Course in Deflection, who hasn't really left the house since the DUI. The ladies react to the situation, with Gizelle and Wendy expressing sympathy, Mia baffled that Karen would not only put herself but someone else's safety in jeopardy, and Ashley surprised of Karen being a repeat offender of a serious crime. Gizelle states that she will be there for Karen as they are long time friends. Gizelle picks up Karen and avoids the accident site to not trigger Karen. Karen states she has had time to reflect since the accident, but cannot speak upon it due to the legal process. She injured her ribs and ankle in the accident.
Karen meets her friend Vivien and Stacey at Vivien's boutique for Stacey to shop for an upcoming gala. The ladies cheer with champagne, Stacey and Vivienne ask Karen if it's okay to drink in front of her. Karen responds with she is not drinking due to her medication but will be enjoying drinks with them soon. Jacqueline reveals Karen had called her recently sounding tipsy on the phone at Gizelle's Hattitude Party while waiting for Karen to arrive. Later on during the party, Gizelle brings up that the ladies have questions for Karen regarding her DUI and Karen opens the floor. Jacqueline is thankful that nobody including Karen is seriously injured, and people should not pass judgment. Stacey agrees, Karen states she is not worried about being judged but figuring out who her real friends are. Ashley asks for a "projected timeline" in which Karen responds with as long as it takes for the "wheel of justice" to turn around. Ashley respects Karen's decision, but points out it is the same process occurred in season 4, where Karen does not speak on the issue citing the advice of lawyers. Ashley is worried Karen might face jail time.
Mia checks in with Karen regarding her DUI while on their way to their vacation rental in Lake Norman in Momma Knows Best. Karen states she can't talk about it, Mia states it is on the internet and just wants to support her. Karen reiterates she wants the ladies to wait for the official decision by the court before passing judgments in Bunking Beds and Butting Heads. Mia is "disappointed" in Karen for not admitting her faults and just ask for support from the ladies. Karen feigns ignorance regarding Mia's accusation of possible adultery on the night out with her and Joy in 2021 in Blast from Everyone's Past. Karen attempts to clarify the butt dial as her trying to call a driver after realizing that she was under the influence and pulling over. Mia adds in her confession that Karen phoned her drunk on her way home the morning after. Ashley believes Mia and Joy in her confessional. Stacey and Wendy sympathize with Karen. Karen deflects the accusation by bringing up Jacqueline's phone call. Stacey questions why Mia held onto this for 3 years. Mia says she's defending Jacqueline. Mia checks in with Karen about Ray, which Karen reassures that they are good, Ray has her back, and they are working on their marriage. Keiarna believes Karen grieving her parents (they passed 6 years ago) has something to do with her DUI. The dinner ends and Stacey expresses her support to Karen. The next day at breakfast, Karen brings up Jacqueline's ex-boyfriend Patrick "PP"'s alleged "25 convictions". Jacqueline explains Patrick was fired from a position after an internal investigation in the police department, and now he's in a different position. Jacqueline thinks Karen is further deflecting from her current issues while Karen views Jacqueline as an "enemy".
5 days from Karen's court hearing, Gizelle and Karen visit Ashley in her garden for drinks and snacks in Hard Launch, Soft Landing . Karen states she is scared of the hearing but deflects Gizelle and Ashley's questions with she "cannot talk about it". Gizelle and Ashley show their support regardless. Karen and her cousin David have lunch on another day, they have not seen each other since Karen's accident. Karen reiterates the grief of her parents passing (6 years ago) and stress from Ray's tax issues (also 6 years ago) culminating to her DUI. When asked by the producer in her confessional, Karen again states she cannot talk about how the aforementioned factors contributed to her DUI. It's revealed David was on the phone with Karen when the accident occurred, and he had heard the crash. David cries and Karen comforts him.
All the ladies attend an GnA event in Healing, Thriving and Surviving, again partnered with the National Brain Tumor Society. Karen is not in attendance as it is 3 days away from her court date. Gizelle leads a prayer with the ladies for Karen. It is the day of Karen's court case, Karen double checks with the producer on whether Troy, her lawyer is mic'd on his arrival. Karen is appreciative of the justice system but is also scared of what's to come. However, upon arrival Karen and her team found out the case is postponed to September 23rd, 4 months away. Karen wishes it was gotten over with. All the ladies except Ashley, who cannot make it due to a scheduled photo shoot gather for drinks to support Karen on the day of her court case. Keiarna informs the ladies that Karen will not be attending, but she has spoken to her and has a message from Karen about the case being postponed. Gizelle reveals Karen moved the case the first time because she did not want to go up against the original prosecutor. The ladies discuss the possible consequences if Karen is found guilty. Gizelle attempts to Facetime Karen to no avail. Stacey finally gets the joke of Karen is a drunk as Mia states "if Karen doesn't drink, I'm celibate". Ashley checks in with Karen at Wendy's 40th Birthday Party, Karen stops Ray from divulging any details regarding her court case.

Karen feels a "lack of support" from Ray prior to her DUI in Love in the Fast Lane, attributing Ray to a list of reasons of her accident. Karen does appreciate Ray driving her around. They commit to continue on working on their marriage, with their 28th anniversary coming up. Karen's husband Ray and Mia's ex-husband Gordon have lunch in Old Rumors, Die Hard. Ray states Karen thinks she will be "exonerated" and she has already gotten a new car. 5 Months Later the season finale, Karen is found guilty in her DUI case, she faces up to 2 years in prison.
Karen is interviewed by a producer in Reunion Part 1 12 hours after Karen was found guilty of DUI and six other charges on December 2024, she accepts "full responsibility" for her behavior. Body cam footage of the night plays, Karen states she cares about her family more than herself. Karen refutes on "having issues with alcohol" nor being an "alcoholic". Karen is concerned about her reputation as the Grande Dame. The reunion commences with Andy Cohen addressing the elephant in the room, Karen is not attending the reunion. The ladies have not talked to Karen since Christmas. Andy announces Karen has checked herself into a "private recovery center". Gizelle thinks Karen should have gone to rehab a long time ago. Wendy find it strategic to enter rehab right before the sentencing. Stacey defends Karen, everyone except her agrees with Wendy. The body cam footage is discussed, the fans feel betrayed and have no sympathy toward Karen.

Karen's DUI is discussed in Reunion Part 3, everyone has seen Karen with alcohol, Ashley thinks Karen is using that to cope. Everyone also agrees Karen is "lashing out" to "distract". Jacqueline accused Mia of throwing her under the bus, Ashley points out she was the one who told them about Karen sounding tipsy on the phone. Jacqueline thinks Karen focused on that tiny part and attacked her all season. Gizelle defends Karen with Karen was afraid of the possible repercussion on her case with Jacqueline's statement. Wendy questions Karen's intention as it would've been better if she had gone to court before filming started. According to Gizelle Karen had continuously pushed back her case due to "bad paperwork".

The 8 balloons from Jacqueline is brought up, to which she still defends. Karen had not sue her for the environmental damage from the balloons, Jacqueline doesn't think Karen will have funds left to sue her after her case. Keiarna is disappointed that Karen refused her help, as her boyfriend Greg owns a nonprofit that helps with substance abuse, especially after she had defended her all season. The ladies can't comprehend why Karen took the case to trial, especially knowing the bodycam footage exists. Stacey and Jacqueline question if it was Karen's first time seeing the footage herself in court, Wendy and Gizelle refute as Karen's legal team had attempted to "suppress" the footage. Gizelle states Karen had refused plead deals twice, her and Keiarna had heard "6 months house arrest" and "60 days jail". Gizelle states Karen thought she really could win the case.

Ashley states that a journalist texted her the day after Karen's accident asking her if there was a person in the car that was actually driving. Karen had also referenced it in the body cam footage. Andy questions Karen's statement of being with "a group of girlfriends" before her accident, as no girlfriends had came forward. Gizelle knows Karen was at a bar/restaurant that's 4 minutes away from Karen's. Wendy wants to say something but stops herself, Jacqueline departs.

Karen had left ladies a message shot on December 27, 2024, the day before she checked into rehab. In a conversation between Karen and Ray, Karen states she had never seen the bodycam footage, Ray continues to defend Karen. Karen states she was blacked out the whole time and blames it on antidepressants. Gizelle thinks they need to cut the tape and Ashley states it's "performative" and they had "cover all the bases". Ashley tells the story of chatting with a gentleman on the train to New York where he used to work at Legal Seafood at the Montgomery Mall, and Karen had gone there daydrinking everyday. Gizelle and Ashley point out Karen's drinking has been going on way before her parents passed. Wendy had encountered a similar story.
Stacey gives Karen a benefit of doubt regarding her not viewing the body cam footage. A shockwave reverberates through the ladies when Gizelle mentions Karen cannot wear wigs in prison. They are worried about Karen surviving in prison. Andy closes the reunion out, there's nothing else left between Stacey and TJ. The ladies think Mia should have taken accountabilities instead of "running out".

Gizelle expresses her concerns and support, with Karen remaining avoidant citing legal matter as excuse. Karen thinks she's going through a lot, which contributes to her accident. Karen brings up the loss of both of her parents (8 years ago) and marriage issues (4 years ago). Gizelle is surprised because Karen seems to be dealing with those issues well in the past few years, but commends her on the facade. The restaurant's manager Andrea gifts the ladies a donut and tells Gizelle Karen is a frequent customer and has never drank at the restaurant. Gizelle feels the manager's visit is planned. Gizelle brings up the idea of throwing Karen a birthday lunch, Gizelle invited Ashley, Mia, Jacqueline, and Karen's friend Vivien. Karen wants to also invite her friend Stacey, whom she met through Vivien 5 years ago. Stacey is moving back to Potomac from Philadelphia after leaving her job at QVC. Karen inquires about the ladies, Ashley is doing good, Mia is embarking on a global excursion with her new boyfriend Inc. Who Karen calls "DJ Apple box", due to requiring to stand on an apple box to meet Mia's height. Gizelle points out Mia stands behind him in pictures to make him appear taller. The ladies think Mia is moving too fast after the divorce with Gordon, and are curious about whether Mia's son's biological father is Gordon or Inc.

Mia responds yes and that Gordon is leaning on both Mia and Inc, and mentions her and Inc once did Gordon's laundry, folded them, and put them away for him. Jacqueline thinks Inc is good for Mia, comparing to Gordon and Mia as a "business partnership", to the ladies's surprise. Stacey asks Mia how long they were married (11 years). Karen tells Mia it is more than business as they have children together, and brings up Gordon declaring doubt to the world regarding whether he is Jeremiah's biological father. It bothers Karen that Mia's children became a hot topic, Mia is defensive as Gordon is the reason why the public is talking about their children and not her. Karen explains it as concern, with Gizelle backing her stating if Mia "protected her children at all costs" the overlapping timeline that casts doubt would not have occurred. Mia gets emotional while defending herself, argument ensued. Wendy defends Mia. Mia breaks down and storms off to the restroom with Jacqueline and Jassi following her.
Keiarna visits Karen and was not invited to Karen's birthday hosted by Gizelle in Double Trouble, Karen states she will talk to Gizelle and ask her to extend an invite to Keiarna on her upcoming GnA event. Keiarna does not wish to be invited due to the incident at the GnA Fashion Show last season. On another day, Karen visits Gizelle via car service. Karen accuses Gizelle of hosting an "inquisition" at the Hattitude Party, thinking that Gizelle announcing non-alcoholic drinks as a dig at her. The topic is glossed over as Gizelle updates Karen on her amicable lunch with Wendy. Gizelle mentions Jacqueline had questions for Karen that she did not ask at the party. Karen states Jacqueline and her are on the outs as Jacqueline stated she will wait for the "verdict" on the DUI even though she defended Karen. Karen tells Gizelle Keiarna is upset over not receiving an invitation to the party. Gizelle thinks Karen is shady for telling Keiarna Gizelle didn't want to invite her. Gizelle tells Karen that she couldn't invite Keiarna due to the limited seats available, but extends an invitation to the upcoming GnA event. Gizelle is partnering with the National Brain Tumor Society for the event to honor her late father. Karen expresses sympathy and offers to help. Karen tells Gizelle she is receiving a Femme Powered award on the same day but not sure when and promises to make an effort to attend Gizelle's event (the invitation states the event time is 6pm-9pm, see Gallery below). Femme Powered award honors local female entrepreneurs according to Karen. Gizelle states she had also received an invitation to the event 3 months prior, but Karen was not on the list of recipients. Gizelle hypothesizes someone had dropped out and Karen asked to be honored, which is hypocritical due to her 9 citations. Gizelle feels blindsided and betrayed when Karen sent out a group text inviting the ladies to attend both events the next morning at 6:30am, as they are scheduled at the same time. Transportation is provided. Gizelle tells the ladies to just go to Karen's event. Gizelle vents to Ashley as she arrives at their GnA event, stating she does not want to see "none of them hoes". Gizelle reiterates her frustration, Ashley agrees and is surprised by Karen's indifference towards the event as she had lost her parents as well. Ashley thinks the ladies were put in a difficult situation by Karen and hope they will show up for Gizelle.
Stacey, Wendy, Mia, Jassi, and Keiarna head to Karen's event, they discuss the scheduling conflict. Stacey thinks Karen had put everyone in an "uncomfortable situation". The ladies Facetime Ashley, reporting they can arrive by 8:30. Ashley informs the ladies the event ends at 9 and tells them to come before 8. The ladies insists on their commitment to attend. Upon finding out the 24 minutes it will take to go from Karen's event to Gizelle's via Fahmi, the driver, Wendy and Keiarna volunteer to stay with Karen and split from the group as their focus for the night is on Karen. Ashley relays her phone call with the ladies to Gizelle, Gizelle does not want the ladies to come at 8, stating that the ladies are "f*cking rude". Jacqueline was not part of the group text Karen sent out, Gizelle tells Jacqueline what Karen and her talked about and Karen is mad at her for her comments at the Hattitude Party.
The ladies arrive at Karen's event at 7:09, Karen states the ladies like her better as they had shown up for her. Karen's event is documented through cellphone cameras. Keiarna does not want to attend another GnA event and Wendy wants to witness the award being passed out. Mia, Stacey, and Jassi races back out at 7:39 for Gizelle's event. Ashley and Gizelle give speech appreciating the guests for showing up for a good cause. Mia, Stacey, and Jassi are elated to have made it on time at 8, however, Gizelle met their warm salutations with calling the security to have the ladies escorted out. Mia, Stacey, and Jassi are caught off guard and express vehement displeasure for being escorted out despite showing their support for Gizelle in Momma Knows Best. Ashley thinks this is a Karen and Gizelle conflict that spilled into the ladies, and Karen intentionally created the conflicting events. The next day, Stacey invites Jassi, Ashley, and Karen over to talk about the GnA Wellness event. Stacey is wondering why Gizelle had security handy. Stacey and Jassi state their anger regarding being thrown out. Stacey and Jassi want an apology from Gizelle in order to move forward. Gizelle's best friend Kal is doing Angel and Adore's hair for their prom. Gizelle has calmed down from the GnA event and realizes the source of her anger is Karen and not the ladies. She is willing to apologize to them.
On the way to their vacation rental in Lake Norman in Bunking Beds and Butting Heads, Jacqueline tells Gizelle and Wendy that Karen is not happy with her for telling the ladies Karen called her while tipsy, Gizelle is confused on why Karen has a problem with it as Karen does that "all the time". Wendy shuts down the conversation as Karen is not in the car to "defend herself". Wendy inquires Gizelle on where she currently stands with Karen due to Karen's manufactured conflicting events. Gizelle says she needs to talk to Karen. Wendy asks if they can talk before the coming day to not interfere with her birthday celebration, Gizelle makes no guarantees. At dinner, Gizelle confronts Karen about the last minute scheduled conflicting event and thinks Karen is not being a good friend. Karen defends herself and regrets not being there but does not take responsibility of the conflicting events. The argument almost escalates but is quickly diffused by Gizelle and they move forward. 5 days from Karen's court hearing, Gizelle and Karen visit Ashley in her garden for drinks and snacks in Hard Launch, Soft Landing . Karen states she is scared of the hearing but deflects Gizelle and Ashley's questions with she "cannot talk about it". Gizelle and Ashley show their support regardless.
Stacey, Gizelle, and Karen have lunch in Secrets of the Love Lagoon. Stacey thinks Gizelle puts on a hard front to protect herself but is a sweet person inside, and she is determined to get to know her. Stacey's daughter Arabella is a swimmer. They talk about Karen's upcoming Love Lagoon party. Stacey tells Karen TJ is auditioning in Los Angeles but will be back in time for the party. Gizelle and Karen encourage Stacey to date more before settling for TJ. Stacey, however, seems set on TJ. Gizelle reminds Stacey that TJ does not want to engage in sex with her, and he most likely is getting it somewhere else, probably in Los Angeles. Stacey thinks they should worry about their own men. The ladies enjoy each other's company and their salads. At Karen's Love Lagoon party, Stacey brings up Karen and Gizelle stating TJ has his fun while in L.A. at lunch the other day. Gizelle says it shouldn't apply since they are not a couple, which TJ agrees with. Everyone's confused about Stacey and TJ's status. When prompted by Stacey point blank about whether he is sleeping with anyone in L.A., TJ replies that he does so with his "Bugs Bunny" on his bed. TJ agrees with the ladies that Stacey should see "other penises" while Stacey asks to move the question along.
Gizelle tells Karen that Ray told him Karen gave him a to do list to "keep their love alive" in Rum-ble in the Jungle. Karen confirms Ray has started opening doors for her, and "traveling down to the village". Karen is not reciprocating at the moment. Gizelle is eager to know when Karen's mouth is going to come out of retirement. Gizelle, Wendy, and Keiarna talk about Karen in Old Rumors, Die Hard, Wendy is worried because she's "going through a lot". The ladies think Karen looks thinner, and not due to Ozempic. Keiarna thinks it is Ozempic, however she clarifies Karen's on it because of pre-diabetes and not for weight loss. Wendy notes Karen sleeping early on the Panama trip, Keiarna explains fatigue can be a side effect of weight loss. Gizelle and Wendy realize that Karen is taking Ozempics when they thought Karen was stressed out due to her court case. They discuss how to bring it up to Karen without offending her, Gizelle thinks if it's from a genuine place it should not matter. Gizelle and Wendy express concern over Karen's weight loss at Ashley's drag debut, Karen explains that her family has diabetes and she's taking semaglutide, which is the active ingredient in Ozempic. Stacey defends Karen agreeing that it's "preventative care". Ashley tells Gizelle Stacey had came over and told her what she told Mia in All Bark, No Bite, that prior to meeting the group, Karen took her out and warned her against Wendy. Gizelle is not surprised as she herself has cautioned Wendy about Karen but Wendy did not want to hear it as they were feuding at the time. They confront Karen, who refutes the accusation. But Gizelle is familiar with Karen's tactic and thinks it's "backfiring".

Wendy realizes Karen is "not my (her) friend". Gizelle defends Karen, stating Wendy had been knew that. A montage of Wendy supporting Karen rolls. Gizelle questions Wendy's revelation as she had been trying to tell Wendy Karen's disdain towards her since season 5. Wendy states Karen was the only person who stood up for her and her mother in the previous season. Andy points out Karen stating she wants to come back as Karen, but not as the Grande Dame. Gizelle states Karen is a great person when the Grande Dame "facade" fades as the cameras go down. Ashley and Keiarna agree. Andy also states Gizelle is the one who "coined" the term Grande Dame for Karen.

Wendy regrets inviting Karen to the White House with her, she believes what Stacey said about Wendy. Keiarna thinks it's "not kind" for Stacey to only tell Wendy when her and Karen's friendship sours. Stacey clarifies it's because Karen did not reciprocate her standing by her. Wendy reveals Karen had actually warned her about Stacey, because she's "smart" and "educated". Gizelle throws a jabs by questioning if she's actually in possession of those qualities. Gizelle and Keiarna defend Karen. Andy reminds Gizelle herself pointed out Karen likes to steer the newbie in a certain direction. Karen did not take Keiarna to Tally Ho, and reiterates Karen was the only person that took care of her after the Deborah debacle. Wendy tells Keiarna Karen likes the "mother goose relationship", and Karen will turn on her when Keiarna's wings harden and is ready to be without her.

Gizelle points out Mia stands behind him in pictures to make him appear taller. The ladies think Mia is moving too fast after the divorce with Gordon, and are curious about whether Mia's son's biological father is Gordon or Inc.
At Gizelle's Hattitude Party Gizelle inquires Mia about Inc, Karen asks if they will still see Gordon around. Mia responds yes and that Gordon is leaning on both Mia and Inc, and mentions her and Inc once did Gordon's laundry, folded them, and put them away for him. Jacqueline defends Mia blindly at dinner in Rum-ble in the Jungle, the ladies think Mia doesn't get to act erratically due to what's going on in her personal life. Mia calls the ladies "miserable b*tches", which sends all the ladies into a tailspin. Ray tells Karen about his lunch with Gordon in Old Rumors, Die Hard. Karen tells Ray Mia states she has "full custody", Ray doesn't think so since Gordon stated he has the kids "25 out of 30 days" of the month. Ray also tells Karen Gordon had already done a paternity test and Jeremiah is his child. Karen is flabbergasted that Mia hasn't told the ladies and they have been worried for her. Keiarna reveals the last time she moved in with a significant other was her fiance 9 years ago, whom unfortunately passed. It has taken a lot of healing for her to recommit with someone else. Keiarna was not invited to Karen's birthday hosted by Gizelle, Karen states she will talk to Gizelle and ask her to extend an invite to Keiarna on her upcoming GnA event. Keiarna does not wish to be invited due to the incident at the GnA Fashion Show last season. Karen feels Mia and Jacqueline were not as sympathetic regarding her DUI incident and instead were on an "inquisition". Karen tells Gizelle Keiarna is upset over not receiving an invitation to the party. Gizelle thinks Karen is shady for telling Keiarna Gizelle didn't want to invite her. The ladies arrive in New York City for the reunion in Reunion Part 1, they wonder whether Karen will be in attendance. Keiarna and Wendy call Karen, who does not pick up. Wendy thinks she and Keiarna had "soldiered" for Karen and they are betrayed. Karen has a recorded video message for the ladies, where Karen deflects again by blaming the accident on taking antidepressants and drinking. Karen thanks Gizelle, Keiarna, Jassi, Candiace, and Andy Cohen. Andy points out Karen stating she wants to come back as Karen, but not as the Grande Dame. Gizelle states Karen is a great person when the Grande Dame "facade" fades as the cameras go down. Ashley and Keiarna agree.

Wendy regrets inviting Karen to the White House with her, she believes what Stacey said about Wendy. Keiarna thinks it's "not kind" for Stacey to only tell Wendy when her and Karen's friendship sours. Stacey clarifies it's because Karen did not reciprocate her standing by her. Wendy reveals Karen had actually warned her about Stacey, because she's "smart" and "educated". Gizelle throws a jabs by questioning if she's actually in possession of those qualities. Gizelle and Keiarna defend Karen. Andy reminds Gizelle herself pointed out Karen likes to steer the newbie in a certain direction. Karen did not take Keiarna to Tally Ho, and reiterates Karen was the only person that took care of her after the Deborah debacle. Wendy tells Keiarna Karen likes the "mother goose relationship", and Karen will turn on her when Keiarna's wings harden and is ready to be without her.

Keiarna is disappointed that Karen refused her help, as her boyfriend Greg owns a nonprofit that helps with substance abuse, especially after she had defended her all season. The ladies can't comprehend why Karen took the case to trial, especially knowing the bodycam footage exists. Stacey and Jacqueline question if it was Karen's first time seeing the footage herself in court, Wendy and Gizelle refute as Karen's legal team had attempted to "suppress" the footage. Gizelle states Karen had refused plead deals twice, her and Keiarna had heard "6 months house arrest" and "60 days jail". Gizelle states Karen thought she really could win the case.

In a conversation between Karen and Ray, Karen states she had never seen the bodycam footage, Ray continues to defend Karen. Karen states she was blacked out the whole time and blames it on antidepressants. Gizelle thinks they need to cut the tape and Ashley states it's "performative" and they had "cover all the bases". Ashley tells the story of chatting with a gentleman on the train to New York where he used to work at Legal Seafood at the Montgomery Mall, and Karen had gone there daydrinking everyday. Gizelle and Ashley point out Karen's drinking has been going on way before her parents passed. Wendy had encountered a similar story. A shockwave reverberates through the ladies when Gizelle mentions Karen cannot wear wigs in prison. They are worried about Karen surviving in prison.

Ashley thinks this is a Karen and Gizelle conflict that spilled into the ladies, and Karen intentionally created the conflicting events.
The next day, Stacey invites Jassi, Ashley, and Karen over to talk about the GnA Wellness event. Stacey is wondering why Gizelle had security handy. Stacey and Jassi state their anger regarding being thrown out. Stacey and Jassi want an apology from Gizelle in order to move forward. Gizelle's best friend Kal is doing Angel and Adore's hair for their prom. Gizelle has calmed down from the GnA event and realizes the source of her anger is Karen and not the ladies. She is willing to apologize to them. Stacey tells Karen she's worried about revealing the divorce to her daughter Arabella as remediation inches closer in Bunking Beds and Butting Heads. Karen tells Stacey the ladies think she's boring via Mia, who remains anonymous per Karen. Stacey is offended and thinks's she's too positive and happy for the group, Karen agrees and thinks the ladies need to get to know her better. Karen brings up Mia calling Stacey boring, which Mia admits to. Stacey's response cracks the ladies up and diffuses the situation, Karen reiterates Stacey's divorce and the ladies agree to offer her support along the way.
Karen feigns ignorance regarding Mia's accusation of possible adultery on the night out with her and Joy in 2021 in Blast from Everyone's Past. Karen attempts to clarify the butt dial as her trying to call a driver after realizing that she was under the influence and pulling over. Mia adds in her confession that Karen phoned her drunk on her way home the morning after. Ashley believes Mia and Joy in her confessional. Stacey and Wendy sympathize with Karen. Karen deflects the accusation by bringing up Jacqueline's phone call. Stacey questions why Mia held onto this for 3 years. Mia says she's defending Jacqueline. Mia checks in with Karen about Ray, which Karen reassures that they are good, Ray has her back, and they are working on their marriage. Keiarna believes Karen grieving her parents (they passed 6 years ago) has something to do with her DUI. The dinner ends and Stacey expresses her support to Karen. Mia, Jacqueline, and Ashley discuss what had just transpired at breakfast. Mia begins reading off Karen's DUI charges, stating it's online and public information, and Karen is clearly deflecting. Ashley thinks they should ease off a little in her confessional. Stacey joins and is presented with the charges, to which she is genuinely surprised by. Mia states they think Karen should go to rehab and she needs help. Stacey goes to Karen and relay the information she had just learned, although reinstating her loyalty to Karen as well. Karen denies the charges and says they are mere "allegations". Mia brings up rehab and wonders if she should be concerned for Karen. Karen tells Stacey, Keiarna, and Jassi they do not need to worry for her and rehab is not necessary in Shady Waters. Karen tells the ladies Mia had an opioid addiction, hence the reason she opened the chiropractic clinics. Stacey thinks Karen is throwing things out whenever the ladies tries to talk to her about her DUI.
Ashley and Stacey bond over their upcoming remediation in Mediation Nation, which are one day apart. Stacey thinks her soon to be ex-husband will be fair in the process, to Ashley's dismay. Ashley relays the situation to Gizelle and Karen, who offered her good advice regarding remediation as both of them have gone through divorces. Stacey unsuccessfully tried to start a conversation with TJ. Gizelle, Karen, and Ashley pull Stacey aside to offer their advice. Stacey is optimistic while the rest of the ladies attempt to be realistic, Gizelle thinks Stacey should be precise on what to ask for herself and her daughter. Karen thinks Stacey should not let TJ come around till the divorce is over or it will just add fuel to the fire. Stacey remains optimistic and thinks her divorce is different than the others. Gizelle, Karen, and Wendy meet with Ashley and Stacey for drinks and check in with their respective remediation. Stacey admits to her husband taking full financial control during their marriage. Unfortunately, Stacey was blindsided with the full financial transparency. Wendy relates as Eddie takes care of the finance while she takes care of the kids. But now after hearing the other ladies' experiences she will work on familiarizing herself with their finances. Stacey has learned from her experience and appreciates the ladies for advising her. Stacey has multiple appointments of remediation while Ashley and Michael attempted to finish it in one go. Michael wants a confidentiality agreement of Ashley never speaking negatively about him in a public forum. Michael will have custody of the kids 10 days out of the month. They did not reach an agreement after 9 hours of remediation, so now either the lawyers can come to an agreement or Ashley will file for a public complaint. Ashley doesn't wish to be contentious with Michael but thinks the separation should be fair.
Stacey, Gizelle, and Karen have lunch in Secrets of the Love Lagoon. Stacey thinks Gizelle puts on a hard front to protect herself but is a sweet person inside, and she is determined to get to know her. Stacey's daughter Arabella is a swimmer. They talk about Karen's upcoming Love Lagoon party. Stacey tells Karen TJ is auditioning in Los Angeles but will be back in time for the party. Gizelle and Karen encourage Stacey to date more before settling for TJ. Stacey, however, seems set on TJ. Gizelle reminds Stacey that TJ does not want to engage in sex with her, and he most likely is getting it somewhere else, probably in Los Angeles. Stacey thinks they should worry about their own men. The ladies enjoy each other's company and their salads. At Karen's Love Lagoon party, Stacey brings up Karen and Gizelle stating TJ has his fun while in L.A. at lunch the other day. Gizelle says it shouldn't apply since they are not a couple, which TJ agrees with. Everyone's confused about Stacey and TJ's status. When prompted by Stacey point blank about whether he is sleeping with anyone in L.A., TJ replies that he does so with his "Bugs Bunny" on his bed. TJ agrees with the ladies that Stacey should see "other penises" while Stacey asks to move the question along.

Gizelle and Wendy express concern over Karen's weight loss in Old Rumors, Die Hard, Karen explains that her family has diabetes and she's taking semaglutide, which is the active ingredient in Ozempic. Stacey defends Karen agreeing that it's "preventative care". Karen and Mia argue about Mia's son Jeremiah's paternity test in The Truth Will Set You Off. Mia states she found out only a week ago. Stacey thinks Karen "ambushed" Mia. The ladies head back inside after Mia brings up Karen's drunk driving and alleged affairs. Stacey consoles Mia while Mia goes off. Karen thinks Mia has something on Stacey for her to take Mia's side. Wendy defends Karen and questions which "side" Stacey is choosing.

Stacey visits Vivien's boutique with Gizelle, Ashley, and Wendy to look for dresses for Stacey's Strut for Strays fundraiser. Karen is not walking, Wendy thinks it's because Stacey took Mia's side at Ashley's drag debut. But Stacey doesn't think so, and she has stood up for Karen enough times in Lake Norman. Gizelle was actually with Karen when they received the invite from Stacey to look for gowns at Vivien's. Karen thinks Stacey wasn't being "respectful" because Vivien is Karen's friend and Stacey should've asked Karen first. Stacey states she knows Vivien longer than she had known Karen. Ashley understands what Gizelle's saying while Wendy doesn't get why Stacey needs "permission" from Karen.

Mia tells Stacey Gordon is "having a bit of a spiral" over drinks. Mia had called Gordon at Ashley's drag debut and asks him if he had shared the paternity test result with her. Gordon refutes, contradicting what he told Ray over lunch. Mia is mad at Karen for weaponizing the information against her. Stacey reveals Karen took her out before meeting the group and warned her regarding all the ladies. Karen told Stacey to "avoid" Mia because she's "not Potomac". She also told Stacey that she shouldn't be friends with Wendy, who is "completely self-absorbed", "never trust her", and "only out for herself". After actually getting to know Wendy, Stacey realizes Karen was trying to get her to be "loyal" to Karen.
Karen prepares for Stacey's Strut for Strays Fashion Show with her husband Ray in All Bark, No Bite. Karen is working on rescuing dogs from breeders herself. Karen's supporting the fundraiser but not supporting Stacey, she doesn't need additional stress on top of her legal woes. The ladies arrive at Stacey's Strut for Strays Fundriaser, Stacey pulls Karen aside to confront her. Karen is upset that Stacey did not defend her at Ashley's drag debut, Stacey points out that she did defend her in Lake Norman. Karen states she has not "seen it with my (her) own eyes", shuts Stacey down, calls her a "backstabber" and she's "only getting to know" her. Stacey is surprised to see the true color of Karen. Karen states what Stacey is wearing is "raggedy" and accuses Stacey of running "the same stop sign three times". Karen then "demotes" Stacey to an "associate" from a friend.

Stacey and Karen continue their argument with the group. Ashley tells Gizelle Stacey had came over and told her what she told Mia, that prior to meeting the group, Karen took her out and warned her against Wendy. Gizelle is not surprised as she herself has cautioned Wendy about Karen but Wendy did not want to hear it as they were feuding at the time. They confront Karen, who refutes the accusation. But Gizelle is familiar with Karen's tactic and thinks it's "backfiring". Karen confesses to going to dinner with Stacey but immediately backtracks.

Wendy arrives with her husband Eddie, Stacey welcomes them. Gizelle tells Stacey Karen had refuted her allegation regarding Wendy in front of Wendy. Stacey tells the ladies Karen told her Mia is not "Potomac" and Wendy is "self-absorbed". Karen adamantly refutes. Wendy "knows" Karen had talked bad about her. Karen tries to stop Wendy from leaving to no avail. Later on, all the ladies gather to discuss Stacey's accusation. Stacey reveals Karen took her to Tally Ho, all of a sudden Karen remember she did take Stacey out. Mia has lost trust with Karen, Wendy is saddened and hurt by the revelation. Stacey is tired of covering up for Karen. The fashion show commences with Stacey and TJ hosting. Karen is still adamant about not trying to get Stacey to be loyal to her.
The ladies arrive in New York City for the reunion in Reunion Part 1, they wonder whether Karen will be in attendance. Stacey and Ashley think Karen played them and "lied to their faces" for 3 months. The reunion commences with Andy Cohen addressing the elephant in the room, Karen is not attending the reunion. The ladies have not talked to Karen since Christmas. Andy announces Karen has checked herself into a "private recovery center". Gizelle thinks Karen should have gone to rehab a long time ago. Wendy find it strategic to enter rehab right before the sentencing. Stacey defends Karen, everyone except her agrees with Wendy.

Wendy regrets inviting Karen to the White House with her, she believes what Stacey said about Wendy. Keiarna thinks it's "not kind" for Stacey to only tell Wendy when her and Karen's friendship sours. Stacey clarifies it's because Karen did not reciprocate her standing by her. Wendy reveals Karen had actually warned her about Stacey, because she's "smart" and "educated". Gizelle throws a jabs by questioning if she's actually in possession of those qualities. Gizelle and Keiarna defend Karen. Andy reminds Gizelle herself pointed out Karen likes to steer the newbie in a certain direction. Karen did not take Keiarna to Tally Ho, and reiterates Karen was the only person that took care of her after the Deborah debacle. Wendy tells Keiarna Karen likes the "mother goose relationship", and Karen will turn on her when Keiarna's wings harden and is ready to be without her.

Karen's DUI is discussed in Reunion Part 3, everyone has seen Karen with alcohol, Ashley thinks Karen is using that to cope. Everyone also agrees Karen is "lashing out" to "distract". The ladies can't comprehend why Karen took the case to trial, especially knowing the bodycam footage exists. Stacey and Jacqueline question if it was Karen's first time seeing the footage herself in court, Wendy and Gizelle refute as Karen's legal team had attempted to "suppress" the footage. Gizelle states Karen had refused plead deals twice, her and Keiarna had heard "6 months house arrest" and "60 days jail". Gizelle states Karen thought she really could win the case.
Karen had left ladies a message shot on December 27, 2024, the day before she checked into rehab. In a conversation between Karen and Ray, Karen states she had never seen the bodycam footage, Ray continues to defend Karen. Karen states she was blacked out the whole time and blames it on antidepressants. Gizelle thinks they need to cut the tape and Ashley states it's "performative" and they had "cover all the bases". Ashley tells the story of chatting with a gentleman on the train to New York where he used to work at Legal Seafood at the Montgomery Mall, and Karen had gone there daydrinking everyday. Gizelle and Ashley point out Karen's drinking has been going on way before her parents passed. Wendy had encountered a similar story. Stacey gives Karen a benefit of doubt regarding her not viewing the body cam footage. A shockwave reverberates through the ladies when Gizelle mentions Karen cannot wear wigs in prison. They are worried about Karen surviving in prison.
"On February 26, 2025, Karen was sentenced to two years in prison, with one year suspended. She was immediately taken to prison to start her sentence."

Stacey, Wendy, Mia, Jassi, and Keiarna head to Karen's event in Double Trouble, they discuss the scheduling conflict. Stacey thinks Karen had put everyone in an "uncomfortable situation". The ladies Facetime Ashley, reporting they can arrive by 8:30. Ashley informs the ladies the event ends at 9 and tells them to come before 8. The ladies insists on their commitment to attend. Upon finding out the 24 minutes it will take to go from Karen's event to Gizelle's via Fahmi, the driver, Wendy and Keiarna volunteer to stay with Karen and split from the group as their focus for the night is on Karen. Ashley relays her phone call with the ladies to Gizelle, Gizelle does not want the ladies to come at 8, stating that the ladies are "f*cking rude".
The ladies arrive at Karen's event at 7:09, Karen states the ladies like her better as they had shown up for her. Karen's event is documented through cellphone cameras. Keiarna does not want to attend another GnA event and Wendy wants to witness the award being passed out. Mia, Stacey, and Jassi races back out at 7:39 for Gizelle's event. Ashley and Gizelle give speech appreciating the guests for showing up for a good cause. Mia, Stacey, and Jassi are elated to have made it on time at 8, however, Gizelle met their warm salutations with calling the security to have the ladies escorted out. Mia, Stacey, and Jassi are caught off guard and express vehement displeasure for being escorted out despite showing their support for Gizelle in Momma Knows Best. Karen reiterates the grief of her parents passing (6 years ago) and stress from Ray's tax issues (also 6 years ago) culminating to her DUI. When asked by the producer in her confessional, Karen again states she cannot talk about how the aforementioned factors contributed to her DUI. It's revealed David was on the phone with Karen when the accident occurred, and he had heard the crash. David cries and Karen comforts him.

Karen confirms Ray has started opening doors for her, and "traveling down to the village". Karen is not reciprocating at the moment. Gizelle is eager to know when Karen's mouth is going to come out of retirement. Ray tells Karen about his lunch with Gordon in Old Rumors, Die Hard. Karen tells Ray Mia states she has "full custody", Ray doesn't think so since Gordon stated he has the kids "25 out of 30 days" of the month. Ray also tells Karen Gordon had already done a paternity test and Jeremiah is his child. Karen is flabbergasted that Mia hasn't told the ladies and they have been worried for her.
