Argument continues. Kate defends Caroline from her own experience of toxic childhood, the bitter divorce of her parents and her career driven mother. Victoria points out the hypocrisy of Kate being career driven as well, although Kate does not have children. Krissy calls Kate an onion to her face and tell her what it means in Rock the Boat. Kate confronts Krissy about the lesbian jokes at Nicole's dinner. Krissy brings up a joke Kate made about kissing and remains defensive. Victoria thinks Kate's timing is wrong.
Krissy asks Kate if she's genuinely offended by people who wear real fur in I'd Rather Be in Switzerland. Caroline and Kate affirm, Kate states animals are often electrocuted for their fur, which is an unpleasant way to go. Terry mentions some of them are "skinned alive". Victoria is defensive, and thinks Kate should have confronted her prior to leaving when she still had a chance to change. Terry questions Victoria on whether she has considered it'd be inappropriate to wear real fur to a wildlife conservatory. Argument ensued, Terry suggests Victoria taking the fur collar off, Victoria agrees. Terry thinks Victoria still has an attitude, Victoria is surprised by Terry taking Kate's side and feels attacked. Victoria excuses herself, thanking Kate for the weekend and asking Nicole to drive her to the hospital to see her dad. The next day after the explosive dinner, Sally checks in on Kate, Kate is sad since Victoria and her had a good fledgling friendship. Kate starts crying and Sally consoles her. Kate expresses she wishes to still be friends with Victoria at lunch.

Nicole states Victoria was on the phone with her mother a lot, trying to find out more about her father's health situation. Caroline, Sally, and Kate have dinner and Kate has noticed that Victoria pulled the fur products from her website. Kate is ecstatic when Sally relays to her about the Kate coat and charity donations. However, Sally and Caroline feel Victoria is pulling a "publicity stunt" and the speech is "condescending". Caroline thinks Victoria is a bit "detached" from reality. Kate agrees. Caroline tells Kate about her and Krissy's plan of bringing Kate and Victoria together. Kate welcomes the idea but wants a mediator present. Sally says Caroline looks like Angela Lansbury in her blue fedora get up. Kate Facetimes and refreshes Terry, who's in Portugal on what's going on. Terry agrees Kate and Victoria should have a sit down. Krissy and Victoria arrive first for lunch with Caroline and Kate. Victoria still feels "set up" by Kate. Caroline picks Kate up for the lunch. Kate is in her vet scrubs, Caroline thinks that's a statement. Kate wants to find out if Victoria truly had a change of heart or if it's really all a publicity stunt. Sally tells Kate she's launching skincare as part of her health and wellness brand Swiish. Sally has been working on it for 2 years with her sister Maha. It's going to have a launch party on a yacht. Kate updates Sally on what happened at the lunch with Victoria. Sally thinks Victoria is taking steps in the right direction. Kate doesn't know whether Victoria is being genuine, but she knows she's disappointed. Sally reminds Kate at the end of the day, Victoria is an adult and is free to do as she wish. Kate feels Krissy kept "interject(ing)" herself at lunch. Kate promises Sally that she will not make a scene at her launch party. Caroline diffuses the situation as Krissy denies making the comment. Krissy cracks jokes while Terry brought up the unfortunate situation in which Caroline and Kate met, Kate is offended. Krissy tells the ladies minus Kate and Caroline that she thinks Kate is an onion at Kate's birthday party, because every layer is the same. Krissy calls Terry Switzerland again as Terry defends Kate. Kate accuses Sally of "sh*t stirring" when Sally insinuated Kate is not actually okay with moving on and should just say what's on her mind. Sally apologizes with Caroline backing Kate. Caroline thinks Kate is going back and forth on her feeling on the situation and she will be forced to join Terry in Switzerland if it continues. Krissy and Kate argue. Kate takes offense in Krissy commenting on her relationships, Krissy explains she's just making conversations. Caroline is confused on if Kate is offended or not.
Caroline and Krissy connect in Dressed to Killcare, Caroline thinks it's weird Victoria and Nicole just left, and Kate had the right to ask Victoria to take the fur collar off. Krissy tries to persuade Caroline into thinking Kate should've checked up on what the ladies were wearing before leaving. Caroline and Krissy talk about Kate's absence at Victoria's Cashmere launch party in Friend or Faux. They plan on bringing them together to hash things out. Caroline, Sally, and Kate have dinner and Kate has noticed that Victoria pulled the fur products from her website. Kate is ecstatic when Sally relays to her about the Kate coat and charity donations. However, Sally and Caroline feel Victoria is pulling a "publicity stunt" and the speech is "condescending". Caroline thinks Victoria is a bit "detached" from reality. Kate agrees. Caroline tells Kate about her and Krissy's plan of bringing Kate and Victoria together. Kate welcomes the idea but wants a mediator present. Sally says Caroline looks like Angela Lansbury in her blue fedora get up.
Krissy and Victoria arrive first for lunch with Caroline and Kate. Victoria still feels "set up" by Kate. Caroline picks Kate up for the lunch. Kate is in her vet scrubs, Caroline thinks that's a statement. Kate wants to find out if Victoria truly had a change of heart or if it's really all a publicity stunt. Caroline urges Kate to resolve the issues.

The ladies are all together for lunch. Krissy thinks Kate wearing her vet scrubs is "preemptive and planned". Kate thanks Victoria for not wearing fur. Caroline facilitates the conversation along. Victoria extends the olive branch, Kate refuses and calls Victoria a "reformed Cruella instead of a regular Cruella". Kate doesn't feel Victoria is being genuine. Krissy defends Victoria, Krissy and Victoria start arguing. Victoria states she does mean everything she said, she thinks Kate does not respect her as a business woman, or respects her at all. Kate argues that Victoria disrespected her when she wore a fur coat to the conservation camp. Krissy jumps in and they argue. Caroline again tries to move things along. Victoria apologizes again, Kate doesn't let things go. Kate thinks people look up to Victoria and will think wearing fur is okay if Victoria does so. Kate doesn't want her name involved with Victoria's business. Krissy interrupts and Kate tells her to "shut up". Caroline thinks Kate is a bit too hard on Victoria in her confessional, but still defends Kate at the lunch. Krissy and Victoria don't know how to move forward with Kate.
Caroline receives a phone call from her sister that her mother had passed out and was admitted to the hospital in This is Going to Require Some Vodka. After emergency surgery, they find out she has stomach cancer. She has 6 months to a year. Kate consoles her, and reveals that her dad also passed away from stomach cancer. They grieve. Sally joins them and comforts Caroline. Sally offers them a new perspective as Sally was in Caroline's mother's situation. Sally reminds Caroline that her mother will be worrying for her kids the most. They lament the fragility of life, everyone rally around her. Nicole reveals that her father passed away due to cancer as well.
Nicole's Arabian Dinner is revisited in Reunion, Caroline and Kate believing motherhood and professional careers cannot co-exist come from their personal experiences. Kate states she doesn't really have an opinion on this, to which Caroline disagrees. Kate thinks her opinion is only shaped by her mother. Kate says "never say never" on having kids, but she's getting to the age where she has to start thinking about it.

Terry and Kate's flourishing friendship is discussed. Caroline thinks people come out the show with certain "intentions". Caroline speaks in riddles, Victoria and Joel urge her to speak her mind. Caroline thinks Kate inserts herself into storylines, and took advantage of her, at her especially vulnerable moment of discovering her mother's cancer diagnosis. Kate is confused and apologizes, Caroline is very angry. Kate considers Caroline as a friend, Caroline states she has developed a "resentment" toward her and accuses Kate of "wiping away fake tears".

Nicole calls Krissy in I'd Rather Be in Switzerland and Krissy is not sure about attending the trip due to her argument with Kate at her 40th birthday party in the previous episode. Nicole encourages Krissy to go and clear the air with Kate. Nicole, who's driving herself tells the Kate, Terry, and Victoria that Krissy is not coming because she's uncomfortable that Kate confronted her about the lesbian comments. As the ladies arrive at their vacation home and start picking rooms, Nicole mentions Krissy might still change her mind and join. Terry thinks the ladies should encourage Krissy to come together. They tour the rooms and Nicole takes the room with two beds in case Krissy changes her mind. Nicole and Victoria call Krissy and ask her to come. Krissy is still uncomfortable, Victoria explains to Krissy that Kate doesn't feels close enough to her for Krissy to make the jokes she did. Victoria suggests Krissy just apologize even if she doesn't mean it, Krissy refuses. Caroline asks Nicole if Krissy is going to come aside before dinner on the trip in I'd Rather Be in Switzerland . Nicole reiterated Krissy feels uncomfortable, Nicole thinks Kate has brushed it off and not mad about the lesbian jokes anymore. Caroline tells Nicole Kate is still mad, in addition of the onion comment. Nicole defends Krissy. They think Krissy and Kate just need to talk.
Krissy enters the house without telling anyone, surprising the ladies. Krissy brings up the lesbian jokes right away, Kate explains that they weren't close enough for Krissy to make those jokes. Kate had to fish an apology out of Krissy, who remains defensive. Sally thinks the issue will come up again as she has heard from Caroline about how upset Kate is. Krissy and Nicole go to check out their room, Nicole tells Krissy that Kate is genuinely upset, Krissy is confused about where the lesbian joke came from, as Kate was the one who made the joke about "tonguing" as revealed in flashbacks in Role Models. Nicole brings up the onion comment, Krissy doesn't think it's offensive. Nicole suggests Kate should have sent out a group text forbidding fur during Kate and Victoria's argument in Dressed to Killcare. Kate and Nicole argue, Nicole thinks Kate waited until they were leaving and attacked Victoria. Nicole accuses Kate for being a hypocrite while wearing down feather, which Kate claims to be ethically sourced.
Sally checks in with Nicole in Friend or Faux, who left the trip early with Victoria over drinks. Nicole states Victoria was on the phone with her mother a lot, trying to find out more about her father's health situation. Victoria felt Kate could have confronted her about the coat prior to them riding together. Sally feels Kate is offended by the fur coat as they were going to a conservation park. Kate also feels that she's a "black and white" person, especially the trauma and grief she experiences as a vet has hardened her. Sally agrees and points out that Nicole doesn't know her story and they should get to know each other. Kate agrees to go to Krissy's cooking class. Kate wants to get to know Nicole better. Kate pulls Nicole aside at Krissy's cooking class and apologizes for dismissing her at Sally's launch. Nicole understands and accepts the apology. They are excited to get to know each other. Nicole visits Victoria and gives her a souvenir from Japan in There's No Place Like Home. They tell each other about their trips, especially Nicole's confrontation with Terry. Nicole feels the closer Terry is to Kate, the further she is from them. Victoria misses Terry, Nicole is hopeful of regaining her friendship with Terry. Victoria looks forward to see Kate and confronting her. Victoria wants Kate to know that friendships do not come with terms and conditions.

Terry defends Kate, Krissy is surprised by Terry. Next morning, Caroline tells Krissy how she got lost in the hotel after getting drunk from sake at dinner. Krissy thinks Kate was upset at Terry at dinner. Caroline did not "notice the tension". At Club 27, Terry tells Kate Krissy thought she and Kate had an issue at dinner last night, to Kate's surprise. Terry also tells Kate about her fight with Krissy.

They almost got hit by an ambulance on the way to the temple. They draw fortunes, Kate got a bad one. Terry thinks it makes sense with the dinner disaster last night. Nicole visits Victoria and gives her a souvenir from Japan in There's No Place Like Home. They tell each other about their trips, especially Nicole's confrontation with Terry. Nicole feels the closer Terry is to Kate, the further she is from them. Victoria misses Terry, Nicole is hopeful of regaining her friendship with Terry. Kate and Terry have a picnic at the park. Terry really enjoys spending time with Kate. Kate feels the same way and feels that she has a "real friend" in Terry. Kate confesses she falls in love with people who can teach her new things. Kate wants to focus on the fur issue, but not Victoria. Kate thinks Victoria and her can actually be good friends. Kate reveals she had taken a break from veterinary science before and worked in private equity finance. She also worked for the child sexual abuse bureau commission as chief of staff. Terry admires how driven Kate is and she thinks Victoria and Kate can move forward. Terry and Kate see Terri, the fortune teller at No Place Like Home Party, who sees potential romantic or business partnerships in Kate's future. Terri points out Kate's ambitious personality. Terry receives the instruction of moving forward without negative energy.
