Kim Zolciak-Biermann is a former main and recurring cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She also starred in her own spin-off series, titled: Don’t Be Tardy.
Casting[]
Zolciak made up one of the five original main cast members in the first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She starred as a ‘Housewife’ until the sixth episode in the fifth season which saw Zolciak announce that she didn’t wish to film events with her co-stars anymore and wanted to focus on her own spin-off series, Don’t Be Tardy.
Her spin-off series focused on the personal, professional and social life of Zolciak, her husband, Kroy Biermann and their expanding family. It lasted for eight seasons but ended up being cancelled due to low ratings.
Zolciak did make a return to the main show for its ninth season’s finale before re-joining the show in a recurring capacity for the tenth season as a ‘Friend of the Housewives’. This return was drama-filled but not long lived as Zolciak quit after one run in a recurring role to remove the “too much stress” that she had experienced from her return. She did make a ‘Guest Appearance’ in the fifteenth season but has not otherwise been seen on the main show since.
