Lydia McLaughlin is a former main cast member on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Casting[]
McLaughlin joined The Real Housewives of Orange County during its eighth season but only starred for that one season before deciding to not return for a second edition since she wanted to focus on “building her brand away from ‘the Housewives’ name” and wished to focus on writing her book plus expanding her family.
She did, however, return to the show after a three season hiatus in the twelfth season and once again, in a main capacity. She left for the second time after only completing one season and announced that she would not be returning to the show because of the state of her relationships with her co-stars at the time.
McLaughlin did star in her own digital show, Raining Glitter, which premiered in 2020 on the Bravo website; a one-season series which followed Lydia and her mom’s spreading of “positive vibes” while making normal day tasks and activities, fun and “glittery”.
