Melissa Gorga is a current main cast member on The Real Housewives of New Jersey and has appeared as an "All Star" during the first season of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip.
Casting[]
Having made a cameo at sister-in-law and future co-star, Teresa Giudice’s, housewarming party in the prior season, Gorga joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey during its third season and has continued to star as a full-time ‘Housewife’ ever since - appearing in twelve seasons.
Between the sixth and seventh seasons of the main show, there was a year’s break from filming due to her sister-in-law and co-star, Giudice, serving her one year prison sentence for fraud. During this year’s break from filming, there was a three-part spin-off series commissioned, Teresa Checks In. As the spin-off filmed life without Teresa and mainly focused on Giudice’s immediate family, Gorga and her husband, Joey, also featured on the programme.
In addition to this, Melissa has appeared as an "All Star" during the first season of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip; also alongside Giudice. Filmed in Turks and Caicos with five other ’Housewives’ from other American installments of The Real Housewives franchise, the two sister-in-laws represented New Jersey.
