Pavit takes Jessel on a food excursion to Carol's Bun via subway in Apple of My Lie. Jessel, who spent $990 on Uber in the past month is not accustomed to. Jessel is not thrilled with the less than affluent set up of the restaurant and helps Pavit record videos, because Pavit is now a food influencer stemming the banh mi incident last season. Jessel pesters Pavit on his inability to gift give on special occasions. Jessel brings up her embryos stored in Beverly Hills, Jessel wants a girl but Pavit does not want more kids.
Jessel, Ubah, and Sai head to the grocery store in Match Point of No Return, and they have a round of game of guessing the price of groceries. With the price of eggs being discussed, Jessel mentions her eggs are being frozen in Beverly Hills at the price of $1k/month. Jessel has 6 or 7 eggs at the facility, Sai volunteers to be her surrogate jokingly. Sai thinks Jessel would be an incredible mom to a girl, Jessel states she’s ready to have another child but Pavit is resisting. Upon further questioning Jessel thinks Pavit is overwhelmed by the twin boys thus not wanting another child, but Jessel argues that having another child to the existing ones won’t be much of a difference. Jessel is resolute on having a third child soon, not wanting to spend the rest of her life in regret. However, Jessel cannot conceive naturally, leaving IVF to be the last resort, and time is ticking. The next morning, Jessel FaceTimes Pavit, who seems frustrated to take care of the kids without her.
Jessel tells her husband Pavit her plans for her Clueless themed Birthday Party in Without a Clue. Pavit doesn't understand the concept of outfit changes during the party. The ladies arrive at Jessel's Clueless Birthday Party. Erin asks Jessel what the plans are for her actual birthday the day after, Jessel states Pavit had just texted her asking what she wants to do the day before. Rebecca and Erin theorize Pavit is pretending to be clueless to surprise Jessel, to which Jessel doubts.

Jessel and her mother Nilam get manicures in A Shot of Mess-cal. Jessel tells Nilam she would like to have a girl through IVF. Jessel appreciates Nilam's support, they had come a long way since their IVF conversation last season. They plan on convincing Pavit next, Jessel thinks Pavit jokes too much and doesn't take anything seriously, they need to communicate better and Jessel wants to see a couples therapist. Jessel states her parents think therapy is a "waste of money". Jessel asks Nilam to look after the kids while delivering the news to Pavit over dinner.

Jessel and Pavit have dinner at a fancy Dim Sum restaurant, Jessel's version of what Dim Sum should be in contrast of Pavit's. Pavit still owes Jessel her birthday and Valentine's present. Pavit refutes Valentines as a real holiday. Jessel informs Pavit her meeting with Tasha, IVF coach earlier in the day went well. Pavit is adamant against the idea of having another child, and gets distracted by the chicken as Jessel tries to have a serious discussion with him. Jessel requests seeing a couples therapist to work on their communication. Pavit is defensive and thinks Jessel is the one that needs to work on communicating. Jessel brings up Pavit treating everything as a joke, Pavit responds with a joke. Pavit volunteers to find a therapist once finding out the price tag of $300-$500/hr. Jessel works on convincing Pavit, bringing up that Jenna and Cass do it to great results. Pavit states "put it on my (his) list", and takes over arrangement duty.

Jessel has found a couple's therapist in Mexico City in Dodging Rumors, because he has a more "global point of view". Pavit and Jessel meet with Joel, couples therapist virtually in Birds of a Feather Gossip Together. They both had individual therapies with Joel already. Pavit snacks on chip and salsa during therapy, constantly crunching during the serious discussion. Pavit makes jokes, Jessel and Joel think humor can be used as deflection. They talk about having kids, Pavit thinks 4 is the "magic number" in regards booking hotels and going to restaurants. Joel mentions Pavit is 99% a no, Jessel is hopeful and wants to explore that 1%. Joel advises Pavit to have food before the next session. Brynn heard Jessel "tricked Pavit" into marrying her in Coming Clean, which Jessel confirms. Jessel explains it as her work Visa was running out so she and Pavit got legally married a year before they actually wed.

Brynn brings up Jessel mentioning the love of her life was an "ex-boyfriend" of hers instead of her husband Pavit last year in Anguila while with Sai and Erin poolside in Dinner Disasters and Breakfast Breakdowns. Jessel stated the ex-boyfriend is black and not Indian so he was not accepted by her family. Brynn doesn't see "romantic love" between Jessel and Pavit and describes it as "co-piloting", she recognizes they are "make(ing) fun" of Jessel but she feels like they are bonding over it. Sai doesn't "f**k with Pavit" because he called her "b**ch" and "bipolar" and did not apologize. Sai's not sure if Jessel notices she ignores Pavit, but she doesn't mind since she and Jessel are in a good place. They love Jessel but think she lacks "transparency". Sai and Jessel rehash Jessel's husband Pavit calling Sai a "b***h" and "bipolar" in Paradise Lost. Jessel states she can't control her husband's actions and thinks they are even since Sai insinuated Pavit was a "sex tourist". Sai opens up about the comment of bipolar as she was dealing with her mother who is bipolar, Jessel and Brynn console her.
