Reunion is the eighth episode in the first season and the eighth episode ever produced of The Real Housewives of Orange County. It premiered on May 9, 2006 , to an audience of N/A million live viewers.

Summary[]
Jo received overwhelmingly positive support from the viewers. Many encouraged her to leave Slade. Jo says she has learned from the other ladies that accomplishing professional goals and raising a family can go hand in hand. Jo says she has no regrets doing the show. Jo justifies the controlling image Slade comes off as. She denies the gold digger rumor. The drinking is brought up, Jo laughs it off. After their initial breakup, Jo went back to her parent's place. They both dated other people during their time apart. Slade never went out when they were together but Jo now sees him everywhere in clubs and restaurants. She witnessed Slade and Lauri together at a club, she went up to Slade and acknowledges that she sees them. Slade calls and sends Jo flowers. Jo feels betrayed by Lauri. Jo says Kim told her Slade and Lauri were secretly still dating when she and Slade were working on getting back together. Turns out Kim was lying because she's mad they did not support her in a radio interview, they don't talk anymore. Jo states she and Slade are leaving the past behind, and dating other people reaffirms their relationship. They officially announce that they are back together but not re-engaged.
Jeana received suggestions of leaving her husband due to his frequent absence comment from the viewers. And that Kara is spoiled. Jeana, Slade, and Jo went out and got recognized. Colton is doing great after recovering from surgery. Shane's either going to sign with the Oakland A's, go into another round of drafting, or go to a 4 year university. He has not made the decision yet. Jeana refutes the image of a housewife portrayed on the show, stating she had only learned how to cook recently and had help previously. Jeana reveals that Matt has a drinking problem and was in rehab. The gay rumor of Shane is refuted, Jeana explains it as Shane will be traveling in the future having relationships is not practical. The shows has has boosted Jeana's real estate business.
Vicki does not consider herself as controlling as portrayed on the show, she sees it as micromanaging. Vicki explains she did not know that Briana and Colby's date she interrupted was being filmed, and she'll be happy if Colby ends up being her son-in-law. Vicki thinks Lauri and her would not be as good of friends they are without the show. Many viewers reached out to her due to her inspiring story. Now that both Michael and Briana are at school, Vicki has been diving into work, and Donn has to often reel her back from working too much. Vicki reveals she had cholesteatoma when she was little and undergone 9 procedures spanning from age 5 to recently.
Lauri received Manolo Blahnik shoes from the father of a cast member on Laguna Beach asking her out on a date, Lauri had not gone on that date yet. Slade told Lauri that Jo and him had completely broken up when they started talking. Lauri corroborated Jo's story of seeing them in the club, but they have since broken up as well. However, there's a new man in Lauri's life. Lauri states the show magnifies the bratty and spoiled sides of Ashley, and Ashley has actually moved back in, while juggling two jobs and going to school. Josh was well behaved for a few weeks after getting out of juvie, but Lauri could feel negative influences creeping back in as Josh reconnects with people. Therefore Lauri flew Josh out to Idaho to stay with her parents. Josh is now back home and back in school, working at Abercrombie and Fitch as well.
The ladies watching the tapes
All the ladies minus Kim, who is on vacation reunite to watch the iconic scenes from the season. They watch Slade coming home to Jo and Shane flirting. Shane and Jo are friends and talk occasionally. Jeana makes light of the genetic comment she made about Matt and his mother picking her out for marriage. They watch Josh's scenes, the ladies empathize, and Lauri states his father is not involved still. Vicki the "control freak" tapes is shown next, both Briana and Michael are shown. Vicki refuted that Michael's claim of having 4 jobs previously. They watch Jo's French maid costume and Lauri going to the Playboy mansion. Lauri and Jeana confirms that no one has sex in the Playboy mansion. Shane in Mexico is played next. Jeana says Colton is doing great without Shane's "friendly competitions". The ladies sympathize with Colton and discuss Shane's behavior toward his siblings. Jeana defends Shane. The ladies asked Lauri if she punished Ashley for having a party while explicitly told not to do so. Lauri jokes Ashley's car is already repossessed so she can't take anything else away from her. Lauri says Ashley has gotten a lot of hate mails for her behaviors portrayed on the show. Jo reveals Slade and her had gone to couple's therapy, but only a few times and did not help much. The ladies talk about Jo and Lauri both dated Slade, Jo and Lauri puts it behind them.
