The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - Season 11

The eleventh season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, aired between: May 19, 2021, and November 3, 2021, continuing to star: Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley and Garcelle Beauvais; plus introducing, Sutton Stracke (after starring in a recurring capacity last season) and Crystal Kung-Minkoff. Premiering on Bravo, this season consisted of twenty-four episodes and premiered to an average of 1.19 million viewers per episode.

Production[]

Filming began in October 2020 and ended in February 2021. However, production was halted in November 2020 since crew members tested positive for COVID-19; with Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley and Kathy Hilton all testing positive subsequently. After fourteen-day quarantines and negative COVID-19 test results, production resumed. The season’s 'Reunion' was filmed on September 10, 2021.

Denise Richards

On September 9, 2020, Denise Richards (pictured on the left) was announced to be leaving the show; after two seasons as a 'Housewife'. She cited the main reason for her departure as not being able to agree on contractual agreements (financial) with the network. However, she also felt that the behaviour from the majority of her co-stars had been "toxic" as they "played dirty". Equally, she didn’t feel that the show was promoting a positive message since she felt the target of a "tearing down" campaign, last season. Since her departure, she made numerous 'Guest Appearances' on the thirteenth season of the show and has since worked on a new show with Bravo, titled: Denise Richards & Her Wild Things; which premiered in March 2025.

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave

On September 22, 2020, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave (pictured on the right), via Instagram, announced that she too was departing the series; after three seasons in a full-time capacity. Arroyave confirmed rumors that the network decided not to renew her contract and it has since been said by a Bravo executive, Alex Baskin, that the reason for her axe was since viewers were continuously labelling her as "boring" and bosses felt she was too "self-conscious" for the role. While she likened her exit to "going through a break-up" (sharing how she felt insecurities and questioned whether she was enough for the role), she has now come to terms with the firing and has realised that her contract not being renewed "had nothing to do with not being enough". She continued to make 'Cameo Appearances' in this, the twelfth and the thirteenth seasons of the show.

On October 4, 2020, Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne and Dorit Kemsley all separately announced, via Instagram, that they’d be returning for the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. During the same month, both Kyle Richards (through Instagram) and Garcelle Beauvais (through an appearance on The Jamie Foxx Show) also did the same. Later, on October 26, 2020, it was announced that Crystal Kung-Minkoff (pictured on the right) would be joining show and the returning five main cast members (pictured on the left), as the show’s first Asian-American 'Housewife'.

Sutton Stracke At RHOBH S11 Reunion

On April 12, 2021, after much speculation, it was announced that Kyle Richards' Half-Sister, Kathy Hilton, would be officially joining the show as a 'Friend of the Housewives'; after making 'Cameos' in previous seasons. It was confirmed that Kung-Minkoff’s entry into the group was through her connection to Hilton. Not only that, it was also announced that Sutton Stracke, who joined the show as a 'Friend of the Housewives', last season, had been upgraded to a full-time 'Housewife' role.

  • Midway through the season, during the tenth, eleventh and twelfth episodes, the cast take a visit to La Quinta; hosted predominantly by Kyle Richards.
  • Towards the final part of the season, the ladies holiday in Del Mar; under the grip of Kathy Hilton.

Reunion[]

  • This is the first in-person 'Reunion' for half of the cast of this season (Garcelle Beauvais, Kathy Hilton, Crystal Kung-Minkoff and Sutton Stracke).
    • This is the second 'Reunion' thought for Beauvias and Stracke; who appeared in their first 'Reunion' during the previous season which was filmed virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
  • Kyle Richards sits in "Head Position" of one of the "Reunion Sofas"; making it her ninth 'Reunion' to do this. Erika Jayne sits on the opposite side in the same position; yet this is a first for her.
    • Lisa Rinna sits in the second position; a first for her since she has been in first or third (last) position in her previous five other in-person 'Reunions'. Garcelle Beauvais also sits in the second position; but in third when Kathy Hilton joins the 'Housewives' for part of the 'Reunion'.
