The thirteenth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, aired between: October 25, 2023, and March 13, 2024, continuing to star: Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke and Crystal Kung-Minkoff; plus introducing, Annemarie Wiley. Premiering on Bravo, this season consisted of twenty episodes and premiered to an average of 1.03 million viewers per episode.

Production[]

Cameras begun rolling at the beginning of February 2023 and they were officially placed down at the end of May 2023. Despite this, in July 2023, they were picked up again briefly to document the news of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s split which straddled a few scenes in the series finale. The season’s 'Reunion' was then taped on January 26, 2024.

Lisa Rinna

On January 6, 2023, it was announced that Lisa Rinna (pictured on the left) would not return to the show’s upcoming season after having starred for eight seasons on the show. She and network, Bravo, came to the mutual decision not to renew her contract after the conclusion of the previous season. While Rinna admitted that she was grateful for the experience and the show "made her a better actor", she has since cited reasons for her departure as: the show becoming too volatile and this was impacting her family in unhealthy ways (she was receiving death threats; particularly after the drama that she had, had last season with Kathy Hilton) and that she had a dream from her recently-late Mother who told her to part ways with the show in order to be happier (which a psychic allegedly backed up).

On January 9, 2023, it was also announced that Diana Jenkins (pictured on the left) would not be returning as a 'Housewife' for a second season since she didn’t feel that she could devote time to filming the new season since she wanted to focus on her pregnancy. Having opened up on the last season about her fertility journey and miscarriage struggles, she had been ordered by the doctor to spend a lot of time on bed-rest but did thank the production company and the show for the experience and promised to continue broadcasting her pregnancy journey via social media.

Kathy Hilton

On June 5, 2023, just days after production had considered themselves complete for the season, Kathy Hilton (pictured on the right), who had appeared in a recurring capacity for the last two seasons, announced that she hadn’t filmed at all for the upcoming season. The reason for her departure from the show was simply due to her decision to focus solely on filming for the new Peacock series, Paris In Love, which followed her Hilton’s Daughter and her journey to the altar. Hilton ended up joining the show’s 'Reunion' and making a 'Guest Appearance' for two-parts of the three-parter.

On October 3, 2023, it was confirmed that all six remaining 'Housewives' from Season 12 (Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke and Crystal Kung-Minkoff); whom are all pictured on the left, would return in the same capacities and would be joined by new 'Housewife', Annemarie Wiley (pictured on the top right). This confirmation also confirmed that Sheree Zampino (pictured on the bottom right) would no longer be starring in a 'Friend of the Housewives' role since she chose not to re-live the "overwhelming experiences" that she’d faced filming her debut season (which was the last season).

While no one was starring in a recurring role anymore, many former cast members returned in 'Guest Appearances' this season. These stars included: original 'Housewives', Camille Grammer (pictured on the top of left) and Kim Richards (pictured on the middle of left), former 'Housewives', Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave (pictured on top of right) and Denise Richards (pictured on the middle of right), former 'Friend of the Housewives', Faye Resnick (pictured on bottom of left), and former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Cynthia Bailey (pictured on bottom of right).

Arroyave, Bailey, Grammer and Resnick appear in the sixth and seventh episodes of the season, Ring Around The Rumor and Dazed and Confused. Denise Richards appears in the fifth, sixth, seventh, ninth and tenth episodes of the season (which includes the episodes: Sutton-ly Suspicious, A Feisty Fiesta and Re-Lentless Erika). Kim Richards also appears in the seventh and tenth episodes. During the season finale, Soirees and Separations, Arroyave, Bailey, Grammer, Resnick and Denise Richards all make cameos too.

The Reunion concludes with a surprise appearance from familiar face, Kathy, whose presence draws mixed reactions from the ladies. Kyle recounts their difficult road to reconciliation and what it took to work through past wounds with her Sister. Faced with tough questions about her separation and the state of her friendship with a famous country singer, it becomes clear to the women that Kyle's future hangs in the balance.

  • The 'Housewives' head to Las Vegas, under the grip of Garcelle Beauvais, during the third and fourth episodes of the season.
  • Additionally, the cast take a trip to Barcelona, Spain, hosted by Sutton Stracke, during the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth episodes of the season.

Reunion[]

  • This was the eleventh season to have Kyle Richards at the "Head of a Reunion Sofa". She only did not sit in this position during the sixth season (was in second behind Lisa Vanderpump) and tenth too (the virtual Reunion which is unclear as to whom would’ve sat where).
    • This was the first season, however, to have Sutton Stracke, at the "Head of a Reunion Sofa". She had spent the eleventh and twelfth seasons in the final (end) positions of the "Sofas" that she sat on.
      • Lisa Rinna also did this between her first and second seasons; where she moved from the third to first position of a "Sofa", taking a season less than it did, Stracke.
  • This was the third season to have Garcelle Beauvais in the second position of a "Reunion Sofa". Excluding the virtual tenth season’s "Reunion", she has always sat in the second position.
    • This was the fourth time that Erika Jayne sat in the second position of a "Reunion Sofa". She also did this in the seventh, ninth and twelfth seasons.
  • Dorit Kemsley sat in the third position on one of the 'Sofas' and has now done this for five 'Reunions' (after the seventh, ninth, eleventh and twelfth ones). While the former two 'Reunions' she was in the final position on the 'Sofa', in the latter three (plus the eighth season), she was in second last position on the 'Sofa'.
    • It is Crystal Kung-Minkoff’s third 'Reunion' to sit in the final position (yet the first time that she is in third position as the last two, she has found herself in fourth position).
  • It was the third 'Reunion' to feature Kathy Hilton; and she entered and exited the stage earlier and later than the others, respectively, but she retains her position from the previous two seasons of placing in second when entering the stage.
    • Sat in second position, it is the second time for a former cast member to not appear at all in the season’s episodes and then appear at the 'Reunion'. This was completed first by former 'Housewife', Brandi Glanville, in the sixth season. She appeared though in a pre-recorded message while Hilton attended in-person.
      • Moreover, Hilton’s Sister, Kim Richards, is the only other person to attend a 'Reunion' and have appeared in the season within a 'Guest' capacity. Both Hilton and Richards sat on the right of their other Sister, Kyle Richards.
        • Hilton’s addition meant that Jayne and Kemsley were to move down a position and Wiley was to move across to the other 'Sofa' and sit in the final position (on the left of Kung-Minkoff). However, the medical emergency of Stracke prompted an early exit from Beauvais and Stracke; which took place as Hilton was entering the stage, as Beauvais accompanied Stracke to the hospital to sort out her sudden illness. This led to Kung-Minkoff and Wiley sitting on one 'Sofa' alone, in their same rotation, but with Kung-Minkoff now in the 'Head Position' and Wiley in the second (final) position. Richards, Hilton, Jayne and Kemsley remained in the same order and positions that they were supposed to be sat in.
  • This is the second time for Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne to sit on the same "Sofa"; the second after the sixth season.
    • This is the third time for Richards and Dorit Kemsley to sit on the same "Sofa"; after the seventh and ninth seasons. This was the third time that Kyle has sat at the front position and Dorit has sat in the third position (with another 'Housewife' sitting between them).
      • It was the fourth time for Jayne and Kemsley to sit on the same "Sofa"; after the eighth, eleventh and twelfth seasons. The latter season saw Jayne sit on the right of Kemsley, the middle season saw Jayne sit twice over, on the right of Kemsley, and the former season saw Jayne sit one to the left of Kemsley.
        • This is the first time to contain: Richards, Jayne and Kemsley all on the same "Sofa"; the first time for all of them to sit with new 'Housewife', Annemarie Wiley, too.
  • Also, this is the first season for Crystal Kung-Minkoff to sit on the same "Sofa" as Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke; the first for her not to be sat alongside Erika Jayne and Dorit Kemsley.
    • On the flip side of this, this marks the third 'Reunion' to feature Beauvais and Stracke on the same 'Sofa'. This is both their first 'Reunions', in-person, not to sit alongisde Kyle Richards. The first for Beauvais to sit one to the left of Stracke since she has usually sat one to the left.
  • Sitting on the left of Andy Cohen, it is the second time for Garcelle Beauvais, Crystal Kung-Minkoff and Sutton Stracke.
  • This is the tenth 'Reunion' of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to consist of three-parts.
