Mortimer joined The Real Housewives of New York City for its ninth season and starred as a 'Housewife' until midway through the twelfth season. She chose to exit the series since she moved to Chicago to live with her then-fiancé, Scott Kluth.
Mortimer did not appear on the franchise again despite originally signing on to star in the third season of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip. She ended up not entering production due to "personal reasons"; which was later specified as scheduling conflicts.
