Ubah Hassan is a current main cast member on The Real Housewives of New York City.

Hassan joined The Real Housewives of New York City in its fourteenth season; making up one of the six new stars to join the show as the entire cast was completely overhauled after the previous season’s racism controversies and dip in ratings. She returned for the upcoming fifteenth season too; as did all of her fellow co-stars.

Hassan is introduced as a "Somalian model, philanthropist and entrepreneur whose outgoing personality enters a room before she does". Channeling her zest for life, she’s the creator of her personal hot sauce company, UBAHHOT, which she hopes is her ticket to making it big in New York. After an initial boost from landing a spot on "Oprah's Favorite Things," she's looking to take her business to the next level, and due to her trying upbringing and desire for total control, she feels the pressure to do it all on her own without the help of investors. In addition to this, she opens up about how hard the past year has been since her mother’s death and tries to reconcile with this tremendous amount of grief.

In the season premiere Apple of My Lie, it opens on June 25, 2024, at the opening credits shoot 5 days post filming wrapped. Ubah and Brynn's relationship seems to be in shambles, and the group's dynamic is deeply affected by their fall out. Erin and Utah talk about Brynn’s get together previous episode while Erin’s mom tries on wigs in You Can Run But You Can't Ride. Erin is hurt and thinks Brynn is purposefully damaging her and Jenna’s friendship at a particularly vulnerable time for her. Thing has been “weird” between Erin and Jenna for the past 6 months and Erin thinks Brynn is to blame, despite Jenna stating it is not because of Brynn. Erin states Jenna revealed to all the ladies in Anguila about her money troubles that comes and goes. Erin thinks Brynn thought she was planning to take Jenna down when she rehashed the uber story. Erin recalls the cheese incident previous season.

Ubah and Sai shop for the Hamptons in You Can Run But You Can't Ride. Ubah thinks Brynn is a manipulator and doesn’t understand why Erin told Brynn about her and Jenna’s Uber situation. Sai and Ubah think if Brynn doesn’t have information she can’t “twist” them, reaching the conclusion that Brynn gets jealous when the other ladies get close and seeks to destroy those friendships. Ubah recalls Brynn outing her super secret Connecticut boyfriend Oliver on the show, where they showcase their private lives. Ubah is not mad at Sai, who was the only person who knew about it and obviously told Brynn, but at Brynn, because Brynn betrayed Sai. They make plans to drive to Erin’s Hampton house instead of flying via helicopter with the ladies. Sai does not trust choppers and Ubah prefers to drive. When questioned by Sai Ubah states it’s not because she doesn’t want to spend time with the ladies, if she doesn’t want to she would not have attend the trip altogether.

Ubah checks in with Brynn after missing her at her get together in Dramamine Drama, they leave for the living room and talk about Brynn and Sai’s conflict. Erin follows, and then Sai. Ubah and Erin leave to give the ladies privacy. Brynn apologizes to Sai, stating she does not want to hurt her. Sai feels Brynn did not hear her side of the story. Sai brings up Brynn supposedly told Jenna Sai hates her, Brynn calls Jenna over. Jenna walks back on her statement at Brynn’s get together, her exact quote was “it was this one, over here” while nodding her head toward Brynn. Jenna attempts to explain she heard multiple people telling her Sai does not like her and it was not her intent to “highlight” Brynn. Sai thinks it was still Brynn’s fault while Brynn is adamant of her innocence. Argument ensued with Erin joining and interjecting. Erin tries to help resolve the situation but inadvertently takes Brynn’s side, leading to Sai’ resentment. Sai leaves the argument.

Ubah accuses Brynn of sweeping things under the rug and ignoring the issues. The argument descends into a single syllable fight of Ubah and Brynn repeating the words “no” and “done”, ending with no resolution. The ladies have breakfast and they joke about Jenna and Erin’s Uber conflict. Ubah suddenly states this is the reason Sai is not at breakfast and she’s “tired of being used as a pawn”. Ubah brings up the words being twisted in the group and the Racquel and Sai situation. Brynn states maybe words won’t get twisted if people don’t speak for others. The argument escalates rapidly with Ubah telling Brynn to “shut the f*ck up”, Jessel thinks Ubah has underlying feelings from Brynn outing her boyfriend last season. Sai wanders into the fight confused at what’s going on. Ubah continues on with her pigeon speech. Brynn states she does not like Ubah’s name calling and prefers “smart” arguments. Ubah calls Brynn a “snake” as the argument continues escalating, but interrupted by Sai saying the safe word “pineapple” to the ladies’ confusion. Ubah abruptly disengages from the argument.

Brynn tells Erin she wants to leave after feeling ganged up on by Ubah and Sai in Match Point of No Return. Erin comforts her and convinces her not to leave. Jenna visits Brynn, Brynn confides with her about Ubah and Sai. Brynn helps Jenna cook, Jenna bribes Brynn to stay by letting Brynn wear her diamonds. Ubah tells Brynn she’s waiting to build a team for her hot sauce business when Brynn inquired at Shabbat, Brynn offers her support. At breakfast, Ubah hugs Brynn and proceeds to confront Brynn about an incident last night where Erin pulled Ubah aside, asking her to work things out with Brynn. Brynn, who was also present advises Ubah to “use her words” in arguments, not wanting her to be portrayed as the “angry black woman” (Brynn is half black). Erin had anticipated Ubah would not like Brynn’s comment and being told how to behave, Erin is correct. Ubah gets emotional, asking Brynn to not tell her how to act, interrupt her, or be condescending towards her. Brynn states she understands but tells Ubah she does not like being called names. Ubah returns with she only called Brynn a “snake” because she behaves like one. Argument ensues, with Erin and Racquel asking Ubah to let Brynn speak. Ubah invites Racquel over to get to know her better in Without a Clue, and more importantly to let her know Ubah and Brynn's argument in the Hamptons doesn't represent her. Ubah shows Racquel her paintings. Racquel states there are no "bad art", and is glad Ubah is expressing herself through the medium of painting. They discuss their patriotism and current issues reflected in Ubah's interpretation of the American flag. Ubah immigrated to Vancouver at the age of 15 and started her modeling career there. They bond over being fledgeling models in New York City, especially when each model agency only had 1 diversity hire black girl.

They talk about the breakfast in Hamptons, Ubah tells Racquel Brynn condescendingly told her to behave in a way to be not edited as an "angry black woman". Racquel thinks Brynn is the one who triggers Ubah to act that way. and Brynn is "manipulative". Ubah thinks Brynn set her up, and she does not want to have a conversation with Brynn at Racquel's suggestion. Racquel thinks they should talk their issues over. She tells Daris about her argument with Sai and Ubah in The Hamptons. Brynn thinks it was "awkward" at Jessel's Clueless Birthday Party with Sai and Ubah. Brynn is emotional and thinks people hate her for no reason, Daris consoles her and advises her to be the "bigger person". Erin gets a haircut in order to wear wigs in solidarity with her mother, who is undergoing chemotherapy due to her breast cancer prognosis in You Can Run But You Can't Ride. Ubah joins Erin and her mom, Dorothy at the wig shop. Ubah states she was the first person Erin called after finding out her mother’s dancer diagnosis. Erin and Utah talk about Brynn’s get together previous episode while Erin’s mom tries on wigs. Erin is hurt and thinks Brynn is purposefully damaging her and Jenna’s friendship at a particularly vulnerable time for her. Jessel is resolute on having a third child soon, not wanting to spend the rest of her life in regret. Racquel, Ubah, and Sai meet for dinner in A Shot of Mess-cal. Sai gifts Ubah a pigeon watching book. Sai brings up the news of Jenna wanting to marry her partner Cass. The ladies are confused as Jenna was indecisive about marriage when the ladies noticed her ring in The Hamptons. Ubah thinks Jenna and Cass are taking it slow because they both have been married before. Racquel understands their decision, Sai inquires why Racquel kept her engagement in the down low. Racquel explains she and her ex broke up in October 2020, and they "kept it quiet" because their personal and business relationships are "closely intertwined". Racquel's ex-husband is an artist and a lot of his art takes on the likeness of Racquel. Their art sell because of their relationship, they were worried for the "financial consequences to the end of our (their) relationship". Racquel and Mel started dating fall 2021, people thought they were having an affair. Racquel announced their engagement publicly to protect Mel. Racquel is now in a much better place in her life.

Ubah grabs an entire water carafe for the table and drinks from it at Erin's Cinco de Mayo Party in A Shot of Mess-cal. Jessel tells Ubah to use a glass, Ubah calls Jessel a "basic b*tch". Jessel and Ubah bicker.

Erin tells the ladies she called Racquel and inquired why she’s driving to the Hamptons alone in Dramamine Drama. Racquel states she gets extremely car sick and neither Sai or Ubah were willing to give up the front seats, to which both ladies are surprised by and object to the group. Sai shows the ladies her text with Racquel, where Racquel never replied to her suggestion of taking Dramamine. Jenna arrives and followed by Racquel, Sai asks Racquel why she did not ride with them. Turns out it was a misunderstanding as Racquel was asking to drive Sai’s car to prevent car sickness. The next morning, Ubah and Sai talk about the telephone going on in the group. Sai brings up Erin delivering the message of Racquel saying Sai requiring her to sit in the backseat if they ride together.

Ubah invites Racquel over to get to know her better in Without a Clue, and more importantly to let her know Ubah and Brynn's argument in the Hamptons doesn't represent her. Ubah shows Racquel her paintings. Racquel states there are no "bad art", and is glad Ubah is expressing herself through the medium of painting. They discuss their patriotism and current issues reflected in Ubah's interpretation of the American flag. Ubah immigrated to Vancouver at the age of 15 and started her modeling career there. They bond over being fledgeling models in New York City, especially when each model agency only had 1 diversity hire black girl.

They talk about the breakfast in Hamptons, Ubah tells Racquel Brynn condescendingly told her to behave in a way to be not edited as an "angry black woman". Racquel thinks Brynn is the one who triggers Ubah to act that way. and Brynn is "manipulative". Ubah thinks Brynn set her up, and she does not want to have a conversation with Brynn at Racquel's suggestion. Racquel thinks they should talk their issues over.

Racquel, Ubah, and Sai meet for dinner in A Shot of Mess-cal. Sai gifts Ubah a pigeon watching book. Sai brings up the news of Jenna wanting to marry her partner Cass. The ladies are confused as Jenna was indecisive about marriage when the ladies noticed her ring in The Hamptons. Ubah thinks Jenna and Cass are taking it slow because they both have been married before. Racquel understands their decision, Sai inquires why Racquel kept her engagement in the down low. Racquel explains she and her ex broke up in October 2020, and they "kept it quiet" because their personal and business relationships are "closely intertwined". Racquel's ex-husband is an artist and a lot of his art takes on the likeness of Racquel. Their art sell because of their relationship, they were worried for the "financial consequences to the end of our (their) relationship". Racquel and Mel started dating fall 2021, people thought they were having an affair. Racquel announced their engagement publicly to protect Mel. Racquel is now in a much better place in her life.

Erin, Ubah, and Erin's friend Rebecca have lunch in Apple of My Lie. Sai delivers the Rebecca pregnancy rumor to Ubah at dodge ball in Dodging Rumors, they question Erin's motivation for telling the ladies without Rebecca's knowledge.

Erin, Ubah, and Erin's friend Rebecca have lunch in Apple of My Lie. Ubah announces she's considering having a baby with Oliver. Ubah and Sai shop for the Hamptons in You Can Run But You Can't Ride. They talk about Ubah’s mystery boyfriend Oliver, who she says is the “one stable thing” in her life. Oliver turned down a job for Ubah because he doesn’t want to move. Sai and Ubah drive to the Hamptons in Dramamine Drama, Ubah’s arm hurts and she thinks it’s due to stress. Her boyfriend Oliver built a painting room for her in his house, Ubah is happy but scared of the serious direction their relationship is heading. Sai wants Ubah to be happy and not overthink. Ubah is nervous about moving in with Oliver. She likes spending time with him and is not comfortable when not with him. Ubah gushes about Oliver’s “beautiful” feet, to Sai’s disgust.

Ubah shops for decoration to bring color to her boyfriend Oliver's home in Greenwich, Connecticut. Ubah is going to keep her apartment in New York City as the city is a part of her identity. Ubah is nervous about moving in with Oliver, they have different lifestyles in regards of Oliver has a rigid schedule while Ubah is more fluid. Ubah tells Stacey, her friend about her painful periods and she has an upcoming appointment with her doctor. Ubah is worried about her fertility because she wants to build a family with Oliver.
