You Are Cordially Not Invited is the thirteenth episode in the eighteenth season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Shannon hosts a tea party to reveal she’s taking (almost) everyone on a trip to London to celebrate her 60th birthday. Alexis learns her olive branch to Shannon didn’t blossom the way she intended, and she’s cordially not invited."[1]

We picked right after Tamra stormed out of Katie's Couples dinner party. Katie follows Tamra, who reiterates Ryan's FBI entanglement and brings up the Instagram video by Georgio Says that breaks down the situation. Katie rejoins the group and informs Eddie Tamra's ready to leave. Eddie gives his goodbyes, hugs Ryan who apologizes and wishes to move forward. Eddie accepts and hugs Jenn, who states "help me with that (Tamra)". Jenn feels sad but not surprised by Tamra's behavior. Katie tells the group Tamra said to "ask the FBI". Ryan stumbles to explain that his close friend, a professional gambler that runs a bookie business has been in some trouble that he's not clear on. But only after Emily, having heard rumors, brings up alleged details of his friend hosting big time players with dirty money that got him into trouble.

Heather, Shannon, and Katie go shopping for an outdoor patio sofa for Shannon. It is Shannon's birthday and Heather enthusiastically celebrates in public to Shannon's embarrassment. The ladies inquire Shannon on Shannon & Vicki Live and they talk about John's public display of his lawsuit against Shannon, they agree that John does not want to sign the non-disparagement clause because he's scared Shannon will bad mouth him on the show and he won't be able to respond. Shannon is tired and just wants it to be over. Katie refreshes Shannon and Heather on her Couples Dinner, Shannon mentions her invitation to the ladies to have tea for her birthday. Tamra cannot make it and the invitation was sent right after Tamra stormed out the Couples Dinner. Heather tells Shannon and Katie about her dilemma with Gina (see next paragraph) and asks for Katie's opinion, Katie see both sides. Heather thinks Emily was aggressive with her. Katie recounts Emily's emotional moment at her dinner, Heather doesn't understand what she did wrong wishes to have a one on one with Emily to talk things through.
Emily visits Gina and tours the kids' remodeled bedrooms. Gina reveals Tamra visited her earlier and relayed her what occurred at Katie's Couples Dinner. Emily and Gina agree Tamra's behavior and her drinking need to be restricted. Shannon's Birthday Tea Party is discussed, Gina feels uneasy with Heather. Heather is apparently mad at Gina for leaving with Emily after their conflict at Jenn's Fiesta Party. Tamra told Emily that Heather thinks Emily attacked her, which infuriates Emily. Emily does not want to have a conversation with Heather.

Emily is involved with The Innocence Center and meets with Anthony, an exoneree to shop for suits. Anthony was incarcerated for attempted murder at the age of 15, turned out his half-brother was the perpetrator, who eventually spoke out after Anthony was in prison for 18 years. Emily hopes to bring more awareness to the victims of the current justice system.
Katie, Matt, Kaili, and Bandon go out to Korean BBQ for dinner. Katie wishes to have gotten in touch with her roots earlier. After having conversations with Jenn that does so with her adopted son Dominic. The Ginellas are heading to Korea to meet Katie's birth mother for her 40th birthday. Katie's mother is from a farming town Southwest of Seoul.

The ladies get ready for Shannon's 60th Birthday Tea Party. Emily prints out and frames of Shannon from her boudoir photo shoot as a present. Katie calls Jenn, who tells her that her dress did not ship and has to head to the mall. Katie inquires on how Jenn feels about seeing Tamra, Jenn states she's there for Shannon and does not care about Tamra. Shannon arrives first and set up, due to a surprise she's planning she will go incognito and wait for all the ladies to arrive first then reveal her surprise all together. The ladies arrive, Heather asks to speak to Emily privately, Emily refuses. Gina thinks Heather is being calculating by not addressing problems in the moment, but stepping away to strategize before returning and asking for a conversation. Heather asks Emily again and Emily reluctantly agrees. Emily reiterates her experience at Heather's fashion show and gets emotional. Heather is receptive and they resolve their conflict. Tamra arrives and apologizes to Jenn, Jenn thinks they should have the conversation another time. Jenn feels "exhausted" having to go through the same process with Tamra multiple times.

Shannon makes her appearance upon all the ladies' arrival, Emily presents her boudoir picture to which the ladies think portrays Shannon like a madame. A very good madame nonetheless. The surprise reveals to be a birthday trip invitation to London, the ladies are very excited. Heather gifts Shannon $760 worth of Hermes Oran Sandals, reigniting the discussion of Shannon buying John Ferragamo shoes. A floral arrangement is delivered to the party for Shannon, from Alexis, with a note attached (see transcript below). After reading the note, Shannon appreciates the gesture but states it's "9 months too late". Shannon does want anything to do with Alexis, Emily agrees as there is an ongoing lawsuit against Shannon Alexis is taking part in. Shannon thinks Alexis is being "coached" by John, to Tamra's disbelief. Tamra reveals Shannon's butt dial the day the lawsuit went public previous episode, stating that she sounds upset. Shannon responds with of course she is upset as a lawsuit against her is out in the press, and proceeds to draw clear boundary between her and Alexis. Emily asks if Shannon is going to send Alexis a thank you note. Shannon reveals she "pre-wrote" a text to Alexis (transcript below) that clarifies she is not invited, to the ladies' surprise and glee. Although the ladies do think it's a bit too harsh, Katie and Jenn offer to relay the information to Alexis in person. Emily thinks Shannon should just send the text. The party ends with the ladies sharing their favorite memories (all involving the ladies having fun on cast trips) with Shannon.

Katie and Jenn arrive at Alexis' to deliver the bad news. Alexis is flabbergasted that Shannon did not take on the olive branch she offered after 8 months of her tormenting Shannon. Katie and Jenn inform Alexis about the text Shannon sent her, wishing Shannon had "soften" the language (she did not). Alexis is confused about what Shannon is holding on against her, Katie and Jenn remind her of the ongoing lawsuit. John and Alexis appear in the confessional together, John states he brought the suit in action due to the approaching expiration of statue of limitation, and refutes the claim that the money was a gift. Both Katie and Jenn think Alexis is the one that leaked the lawsuit to People. Alexis kicks them out after they attempt to console her.
