You Can Run But You Can't Ride is the second episode in the fifteenth season of The Real Housewives of New York City.

On Bravotv.com: "Erin and Sai pick up the pieces after Brynn’s explosive party. Erin opens up about issues in her marriage and Jenna bonds with her son. While Ubah struggles to let her guard down, the ladies take off for their girls’ trip to the Hamptons."[1]
Summary[]

Erin gets a haircut in order to wear wigs in solidarity with her mother, who is undergoing chemotherapy due to her breast cancer prognosis. Ubah joins Erin and her mom, Dorothy at the wig shop. Ubah states she was the first person Erin called after finding out her mother’s dancer diagnosis. Erin and Utah talk about Brynn’s get together previous episode while Erin’s mom tries on wigs. Erin is hurt and thinks Brynn is purposefully damaging her and Jenna’s friendship at a particularly vulnerable time for her. Thing has been “weird” between Erin and Jenna for the past 6 months and Erin thinks Brynn is to blame, despite Jenna stating it is not because of Brynn. Erin is close to her mother, being her only kid. Her three step siblings are from her father’s second marriage. Erin states Jenna revealed to all the ladies in Anguila about her money troubles that comes and goes. Erin thinks Brynn thought she was planning to take Jenna down when she rehashed the uber story. Erin recalls the cheese incident previous season. Ubah inquires about Abe, Erin starts crying and wishes Abe to just be there for her in this difficult time instead of creating additional baggage for her. Ubah symphazises but is unable to offer full compassion as Erin is keeping what Abe has done in confidence. Erin alludes to Abe betraying her by making decisions without her knowledge and the consequences resurfacing at the same time as her mother’s prognosis.

Sai and Jenna talk about their kids’ school applications over coffee. Sai’s daughter is auditioning at La Guardia with ballet. Sai’s worried about her daughter facing rejection, Jenna relates with her experience at Parson’s. Sai appreciates Jenna’s friendship and advice. Sai regrets letting her tempers flair at Brynn’s get together, blaming it on Brynn as Jenna told her Brynn was the one that told her Sai “hates” Jenna. Jenna doesn’t want Sai to ruin her friendship with Brynn, Sai explains it as the reason she went off that night. Sai continues on stating she invited Brynn out to California for Thanksgiving despite their rocky relationship but realizing now Brynn is talking behind her back still. Jenna plays peacemaker and wishes Sai can show Brynn her vulnerable side. Sai states she sent Brynn a lengthy text offering an olive branch but Brynn responds with a read text receipt. Jenna thinks Sai and Brynn need to talk one on one. Sai declares a double standard whereas she’s held accountable for her behavior while Brynn also acts reckless but off camera via texts and emails. Jenna disagrees as Sai brings up Brynn’s “carbon monoxide” text (see transcript below). Sai doesn’t understand why she should be kind to Brynn when Brynn isn’t nice to her.
Jessel, Pavit, and their sons Kai and Rio attend boxing lessons. Ubah meets with her personal trainer. Racquel helps her daughter Elle make “Connecticut Pasta” (a pasta she had in Connecticut), a family recipes for a school assignment. Racquel’s partner Mel is a forensic psychologist and really loves her dogs and spend an exorbitant amount of them. Mel makes a steak for the dogs.

Erin walks up flights to stairs to visit Brynn, who informs her the elevator’s broken but has poured water for her. Brynn notes Erin’s haircut, questioning if she’s going through something. Erin didn’t elaborate and dives into an argument with Brynn about her get together the other night. Erin apologizes to Brynn about not defending Brynn when Jeff Lewis insinuated Brynn is a sugar baby on his radio show. Brynn cries, stating she was hurt by the comment on the show, but accepts the apology and apologizes to Erin about the Jenna situation. Brynn explains that her ego was bruised because Jenna was surprised she forgave Erin quickly. They agree to disagree, Erin stating she just needs support from the ladies at a difficult time while breaking down crying. Brynn consoles her and they have champagne.
Jenna goes rock climbing with her son Beckett, friend Heather, and assistant Maya. Beckett is about to head off to college soon. Jenna encourages Beckett to go far and explore the world, but at the same time she’s afraid he won’t come home like she did. Jenna’s scared of rock climbing but does so anyways for Beckett. Maya brings Jenna her new ride, 2024 Bentley Flying Spur, priced at $217,625. It is also a hybrid.

Erin tells Abe about the resolution Brynn and her came to over dinner. Erin is hosting the ladies at their home in the Hamptons and hopes it will be a drama free trip. Erin reveals the reason she is mad at Abe is because Abe sold their Bitcoins without her knowledge. Erin found out when she was about to sell them to pay off their mortgage. Erin also found out Abe has other unpaid bills from previous businesses, putting them in financial jeopardy. Abe explains he didn’t want to tell Erin about their money trouble to protect her, but recognizes his mistakes. Abe and Erin seem to be passive aggressive with each other with Abe stating they did not know each other as well when they were married, Erin talked about being flew out for dates. Abe blames Erin and his insecurities for needing to provide and live out to Erin’s luxurious living standards. Erin wants Abe to work on improving himself.

Ubah and Sai shop for the Hamptons. Ubah has water damage in her house. They talk about Ubah’s mystery boyfriend Oliver, who she says is the “one stable thing” in her life. Oliver turned down a job for Ubah because he doesn’t want to move. Ubah thinks Brynn is a manipulator and doesn’t understand why Erin told Brynn about her and Jenna’s Uber situation. Sai and Ubah think if Brynn doesn’t have information she can’t “twist” them, reaching the conclusion that Brynn gets jealous when the other ladies get close and seeks to destroy those friendships. Ubah recalls Brynn outing her super secret Connecticut boyfriend Oliver on the show, where they showcase their private lives. Ubah is not mad at Sai, who was the only person who knew about it and obviously told Brynn, but at Brynn, because Brynn betrayed Sai. They make plans to drive to Erin’s Hampton house instead of flying via helicopter with the ladies. Sai does not trust choppers and Ubah prefers to drive. When questioned by Sai Ubah states it’s not because she doesn’t want to spend time with the ladies, if she doesn’t want to she would not have attend the trip altogether.

Rebecca, Jessel, and Brynn arrive at the helipad. Brynn thinks Sai doesn’t want to fly because she doesn’t want to spend time with her, not because of the cloudy weather. Jessel calls Jenna wondering where she is, Jenna is also driving herself but did not inform the ladies. Jenna apologizes and mentions Racquel is also driving, Brynn states she forgot about Racquel. The ladies board the helicopter, Jessel trips on the way. Brynn asks Rebecca how the ladies should respond if the press asks them about her Scientology background. Rebeccas gives a word salad non answer, and is frustrated at Brynn for asking on a helicopter because it’s too loud. Montage of the ladies in the confessional asked about Scientology is rolled, Brynn is the only one who rings the alarm.
